…i never said we were back to normal now. just pointing out how ridiculous it was in hindsight (and i’d argue at the time) that things would be back to normal literally weeks into the pandemic.

 

Ah well in that case, yes 100% agreed. Was absurd when acts were postponing Mar/Apr dates to like...June/July 2020 in retrospect.

 

yeah if my memory serves i believe mewithoutyou even pushed march dates back to may haha

 

Soupy made a comment about that during TWY's Fest set. They were in the middle of their tour when everything stopped. He told the other bands "go home and we'll see you in six weeks." That morning of Fest was the first time he saw Spanish Love Songs and Pool Kids since that last show in 2020.

 

I still have my ticket for that TWY/SLS show in Chicago, I bought it at the box office with cash. I went to the venje a few weeks ago and they girl working the bo office told me she needed a manager for it, ask for my number but they never called

 

Detroit was the next show they were supposed to play on that tour and I'm still not over it.

 

I remember oso rescheduling a date for 3/31/20 lmao

Wonder if this will be a normal, full US tour, or if they’re gonna do the same approach they did this year (smaller venues moving up to larger venues) but in cities they didn’t get to

 

Maybe if they didn’t ignore people who brought up to them on social media the survivors current feelings on TMP I would feel differently but they did and that leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Can they do arenas outside A-markets? I feel like this cycle came and went so quickly, they weren't able to to land a "hit" off this record. Shy Away peaked at 87 on Hot 100 and Saturday failed to chart.

I don't listen to rock/alt radio at all, were these massive hits there?

 

They still have a large dedicated fan base. I think they will be fine

 

Killswitch engage dates popping up on Ticketmaster. Haven't seen an official announcement. I assume it's coming tomorrow since presale is at 9 am

 

Is it the tour from last year with Abr and light the Torche or something different
