Carl Weezer is underrated in the pantheon of animated TV show characters.

Jackie was one of the only good parts of the Watchmen movie. The show is vastly superior to the movie too, go punch sand if you don’t like it.

You would be surprised how many people prefer that movie over the show. The fools they are.

my take of the day is that, while I like this new Camp Cope song more than most of their prior work, I still don’t personally love the approach their bassist takes. for me, it feels like she’s somehow both doing too much and not enough all at once. it works fine enough in the verse once I get used to it but I get the sense that the chorus is missing a significant amount of “oomph” (for lack of better wording) because there’s just barely any low end, it’s all fairly concentrated in the mid-range. definitely going to check out the record tho, despite my qualms I think Blue works for me as a song on a level most of their other work doesn’t quite.

 

Every time someone mentions Camp Cope, I always accidentally think Citizen Cope first. And then I get bummed he only had one good album.

 

That's half as many good albums as Camp Cope

 

He's had a few good songs since then, but no good albums. This is my fav of his later stuff, which is still 10 years old haha

 

Hayley Williams solo work hasn't clicked with me yet. If that's an opinion. I don't even think it's bad, I just haven't been compelled to stay with it
