Tbh the final bosses have been underwhelming as fuck so far tbh

Just got Platinum on the base game and all DLC for Spider-Man. NG+ was kind of pointless and the difficulty was not hard on Ultimate.

    On to Miles Morales.

    Player's Goddamn Log:

I'm done with Bloodstained. I had taken a break because I've been so enamored with Slime: Isekai Memories, but tonight I came back with a vengeance.

I built my character to Level 50, took on the final optional boss again, and this time I didn't even bother Inverting to walk on the ceiling. I bought a bunch of health items prior and I just whaled on him until he was dead.

With that done, I beat the final two bosses of the story, and the final boss is really cool-looking, even if the fight itself is a little unwieldy. Anyway, I beat them, which also earned me an achievement for completing the bestiary.

Then I had to sit through the credits for an achievement, which I hate. I know, it's great seeing all the people involved with the game and everything, but would it kill designers to make it more entertaining for the player?

Then I had to scour the castle maps for the two final rooms I apparently missed, which gave me the achievement for completing the map.

And that's where I put this game to rest. Ending with 40 out of 45 achievements. Not terrible.

There's actually a bunch of interesting content I could do outside of the main game: a boss rush mode, another mode that makes the game into a classic Castlevania with levels and whatnot, and there's another character to play as with a third on the way. But right now I just can't be bothered.

For my next game, I'd like to continue with 505 Games because I have a bunch of their stuff I haven't started/finished. I'm thinking I might do Adrift, or I guess it's Adr1ft, because cool.

The dark souls mod that adds halo guns is so dumb but it’s a lot of fun. Make sure you start with the pendant if you want guns though.

Deathloop is a lot of fun, and the way you progress is pretty clever. (Glad I picked it up on sale tho)

Wrapped up Yakuza 0 last night! Incredible game, and took my time with it. Tried to do a lot of sidestories, and mini games. Put in 50 hours, and only got 24% completion lol. Gonna start Kiwami soon.

Unpacking is a great little title that is perfect for game pass. Impressive the storytelling it can do within the given framework (though if you’re anything like me and hate imposing on others it’s way more stressful than it has any right to be)

Started Death Stranding last night. Was a little skeptical at first but after a couple hours I'm enjoying the gameplay

Also saw that I can upgrade to the director's cut for $10. Not sure if it's worth it, or if I'll lose my progress though

I started playing Death Stranding last March as everything started shutting down and I feel like that affected how I felt about it. I really felt the loneliness and desolation in the game as I didnt leave the house for days on end. The delivery mechanics are very good and I love just delivering packages. The combat is not good and the story is kojima nonsense. But it is, for lack of a better word, a total vibe.

I loved the game for the first 8 hours or so, and then started to absolutely hate when I realize how incredibly repetitive it is.

    Player's Log.

So I started playing Adr1ft. From what I can tell, there are five areas in the game, and I'm in the third, so I'm about halfway through now?

For those who don't know what Adr1ft is, you're basically an astronaut floating around a space station that's suffered a major collapse, and you're navigating around the station, trying to restore order so that you can be rescued. While exploring, you can find logs and personal items that will flesh out the narrative further. It's basically a "walking simulator", or I guess a floating simulator in this case. There's no combat or enemies. Just you and the cold vacuum of space.

I have mixed feelings about the game. The floating controls are not very pleasant to deal with, but I wouldn't have such an issue with it if it weren't for the game's main mechanic: you have limited oxygen. Basically you have a leak in your suit, and to make matters worse, your oxygen is also the fuel you use to travel, so you're having to constantly look for sources of oxygen so you don't die.

At first this really bothered me because I was so enamored with the environment and wanted to explore, but the oxygen limitation prevents me from doing this. Then I learned that as you complete each area, you open it up for free exploration in a separate mode, so I'm fine with that. I can focus on beating the game, and then play the free roam mode and get all the collectibles and etc.

That said, there are still some frustrating parts. Right now I'm in a high voltage area and it's very easy to float into something that will knock all the oxygen out of you. Also, my game crashed around this point, which is what I would call an indication to hard stop.

It's a really breathtaking game though. It's meant for VR, but I don't have that, so I'm playing it non-VR like a plebe. But I can imagine it would be even better in VR. Seeing Earth below you when you're out and about in space is really something.

I enjoyed Death Stranding enough but it didn't take long until I was kind of sick of how (intentionally) annoying the traversal was so by the halfway point of the game I was pretty much just beelining the main story and not doing any side deliveries

I actually own Death Stranding and since it's a 505 game and I'm on a 505 kick, I'll probably get around to it sooner or later. But not yet.
