    Fun must be always. Prestigious

I really enjoy watching MLB Tonight on MLB Network like it has become a nightly thing to watch.

They are just a fun crew and generally have some good discussion compared to other sports shows. I mean coming from NHL and it's nightly show which is a bore.

They were just talking about MVP in the AL race and what does it really mean to really be the mvp and I was super interested in it

Apparently Luis Severino has faced 50 batters as a reliever and given up two hits.

No talk about how Stras left last night's came after returning from the DL with a "pinch" near his elbow? I can't wait for all of the Shutdown talk if he needs TJ surgery again.

Everyone laughs at the Mets but they own their affliates. Majority of players drafted and signed aren't necessarily prospects they believe will pan out but more to fill rosters so their prospects can have a team to play on and hopefully develop. So what does it hurt to give on roster spot to a guy who will bring in people to watch the game even if he doesn't have much of an upside. They sign enough players that don't have the potential why not make some more money off of one of them.

    The rivalry is back on

I think signing Tebow makes sense for any team that owns their own affiliates. Why not sign an almost 30 year old non-prospect if it means you'll sell tickets?

The laughing about it being the mets has to do with them being notoriously cheap and wanting to make a buck off him more than anything. If it were another team it wouldn't be as funny. My friend calls the wilpons the "coupons".

Strasburg's UCL is fine, phew -- has a flexor strain, though. Won't be shocked if he's done for the year.

baseball's great because the mets COULD have a guy like tebow in the minors and like...who gives a fuck haha. he'll never make it passed A ball and if you get a little sideshow if you attend a minor league game.

No. Most just have some sort of agreement to be part of their farm system. Thats why you'll see a minor league team be part of different farm systems throughout their history even moving to different levels.

I would guess this is due to his previous broadcasting contract that he likely couldn't get out of/didn't want to be a jackass considering the NCAA season just started.

Kershaw return starts in 15 minutes.
