Murphy takes the lead on Decision Desk!

Still a bunch of blue counties outstanding. And not much in terms of red counties outstanding. But a bit unknown just how much vote is really left in this counties and if its mail in vote (which shifts heavily blue) or ED vote (which could be red even in blue counties that have already counted mail in move)

but I think at this point its reasonably safe to think Murphy pulls it out

just saw the Buffalo results and the song Sly by Every Time I Die just got a minute shorter.

it ends at "Then read them again" now and that's the Dems fault too.

i agree with this thread, but I also think that passing good legislation would push through a bit of the blockade.

Is this an exit poll of VA or a national poll overall?

My county was 70% for Biden. Went 51% to Jack. Fuck this place.

It’s crazy how reliable off-election turnout trends are. It’s as simple as Rs - out of power and angry, show up. Ds- in power and content, can’t be bothered.

It generally works both ways, 538 has it documented pretty well. There was the blue wave in 2018 for example.

The difference is that when Rs are behind, they will not only win local and state power, they will force legislation to prevent losing in the future. See gerrymandering and new age Jim crow in Georgia.

This is part of why over time, the political spectrum in the USA is shifting right. Today's centrist is actually a 1990s republican.

Fuck the democrats. Assuming it's the same voting populace, the democrats did nothing to mobilize the base. Shitty party.

My friend’s mom was telling me yesterday she was worried about Murphy because he didn’t seem to be doing a lot of campaigning. I think part of it is probably that we live in the reddest county of the state but he probably could have done more still

Wait, Republicans have a 15-4 lead in Nassau's legislature? I know this shouldn't be surprising but for some reason it is for me. I somehow expected more of a 50/50 split

  21. Zero pro Murphy ads in south jersey. The only two ads were Jack's ad on Murphy's tax line and that vaccine mandate one

Yeah living on long Island you wouldn't know you're in a blue state, especially Suffolk County. Glad I'm out of there now.

Looks like Murphy might actually be able to pull this out just barely. According to the NY Times tracker, the only counties that haven't completed the count are Democratic-leaning counties: Mercer, Essex, Union, Passaic, Camden, and Burlington. If Murphy wins the majority of the remaining vote in all those counties, it should be enough.
