I take solace in the fact that we essentially have a free game. Alabama can win the SEC and I think Georgia still makes the playoffs.

 

I need a couple more losses near the top before I will bank on this, but it sounds pretty likely that it’d pan out this way

Lmao that Bama ranking is a joke. Also leaving both SMU and Houston out and including several 3 loss teams is a joke too… seems like they’re doing that to hurt Cincy’s resume.

 

The committee has sucked since it started, but this might be the worst initial ranking yet. They need to be replaced by some more objective criteria

Previous committees would've ranked Oklahoma 2nd or 3rd. Them putting them 8th is hopefully a sign that they're bucking the whole record scouting bullshit. Tbh this ranking is perfectly fine. The problem is we don't have a proper playoff system. If we had a 12 team system this would be pretty exact.

 

I just hope we don’t get a situation where a one loss bama beats a undefeated uga in the sec championship and then we’re stuck with Georgia and bama both in the cfp.

It’ll probably work itself out, but any undefeated team (including UTSA or Wake Forest) after the postseason is done should claim a natty and throw a damn parade. I love college football but picking 4 teams out of 130 (soon to be more teams) is dumb

I hate to say it but I agree with the CURRENT cincy ranking. Their schedule is bullshit. They haven't played smu, houston. They haven't even played east Carolina of Memphis. So they have notre Dame and that's it.

They will climb once they beat the other good aac teams but at this moment, it's the right call.
