Started Bravely Second over the weekend and am really enjoying it so far. It's definitely pretty similar to the first but it's been so long since I've played they one that I don't mind

 

That animation quality, bah gawd.

 

Final Fantasy V is unfairly forgotten. It is much more tactical than 4 (where you have no choice) or 6 (where everyone is almost equally strong).

 

Been getting into Brave Exvius this morning

 

XV delayed until the end of November

 

Fuck my life I shouldn't be surprised

 

This can't be real.

Wait I'm not seeing any official confirmation?

 

There's only 'rumor reports'. None of the big gaming sites have confirmed this yet, let alone Square themselves.

 

Seems more and more likely, if Square doesn't announce FXV going gold within the next week it's almost a certainty.

 

And there it is.

When there is smoke there is fire, what a delay. I'd love to know what exactly they are working on.

Edit: "We have a solid version of the game but would have had to release a substantial day one patch. We felt this unfair to those that don't connect online and are delaying two months to finish that and extra things for the disc version. We want to release the best version of this game for all fans. Sorry"

I can get behind that, couldn't make gold with the necessary fixes so they are circumventing the day one patch by pushing the gold date back. I assume not having a consistent internet connection would be a bigger deal for their audience in rural Japan.

I watched Kingsglaive last night it was cool. Will give more in depth thoughts when I have a moment

But Kingsglaive thoughts:
-Most gorgeous movie ever aesthetically. I constantly forgot it was CGI at times. After the credits there's a cutscene from FFXV and the graphics paled so much in comparison to the movie, which is expected but it both felt like a weird choice and accentuated how beautiful the movie and the city of Lucis are
-A lot of great characters and a couple extremely iffy ones (crutches guy may be my least favorite FF character ever and that says a lot)
-Weird start to the movie, not hard to follow but felt very abrupt
-Pretty predictable at times but not to an extreme fault
-Do not watch it if you already can't wait for the game because it will make you NEED to play it that second
-Unbiased, it was pretty okay but beautiful. Biased, I absolutely loved it

 

I'll watch the movie one of these nights after a nice blaze session. Looks interesting but the plot seems meh. We'll see. I'm mostly watching it for the voice acting, visuals and connection to the game.

Also, I've been on the fence with FFXV for a bit but I've officially finally pre ordered it. I did enjoy the game play in the demo and it seems like there is so much to do. And the graphics? Man. Also the fact it comes out the day after my bday is a sign from the video game gods. Hell, when I have NOT purchased a FF game? (other than handheld ones and such)

 

The plot takes such a long damn time to build up but is anxiety inducing (in a good way) once it does.

I also love just HOW "Final Fantasy" it feels. Seeing a bunch of people riding behemoths into war feels so cool to me hahaha.

This is a reminder that Final Fantasy XV was supposed to come out today

 

Listen, if we keep posting dates of when this game was suppose to come out, we'd never stop posting. This, Kingdom Hearts 3 and FF7 Remake might all be out once my kid is in college.

His 3rd birthday is next week.

 

Wow. That looks really awesome.
