    Loving the new Whitechapel album. I loved This is Exile and New Era of Corruption but I wasn't really a fan of anything after until The Valley which was really good. I think I like the new album more than The Valley.

    New Mastodon is an EOTY contender. It’s different but it’s done so well. Also, if you can keep my attention for 80 minutes that’s a win in my book.

    Is it just me or has Zao made a little bit of a comeback? I know they've always been cranking out albums, but I'm seeing their name more and more for festivals and one offs like this. I personally love to see it.

    Not really. They're a PNW band playing one offs in the region, and the Vitus dates are a huge underplay for them in NYC so the four night stand makes complete sense. You don't see a lot of metal bands do this, but Vitus has the clout in a major market so I'm honestly not surprised it happens more...though Vitus did just announce dates there for Nothing and Unearth/Darkest Hour so they're kind of on a kick with that recently.
