Short term 12 is the only one of those he’s good in.

I've only read the first two so this is enticing to say the least.

Found this incredibly bland and overlong ‍♂️

Malik was barely a villain and Craig clearly too old for this shit. No wonder he had to be dragged back for this.

Ana de Armas though, good lord.

    Loved it, no surprise there.

  7. Malek was fine. A bit uncharismatic, sure, especially if we're comparing him to Waltz, Bardem, and Mikkelsen. But he was sufficiently menacing. Plot was good, too. Seeing up close what the virus can do makes the stakes feel higher. I absolutely love the women in this. Ana de Armas especially. Kicking that much ass in that dress? Amazing. I hope this isn't the last we see of Fiennes, Kinnear, Whishaw, and Harris. I think I still like Skyfall a tad more, but this was about as good as Casino Royale, so that's something. Nice way to end Craig's run.

I don’t blame Malek as much as the script, there’s just nothing there for that villain. If anything he finds interesting things with it. His exasperation with the daughter really tickled me.

This was good overall and the emotional spots hit me way harder than I expected, but the plot was a mess. They tried to do way too much, and Malik's whole character was the most obvious aspect of that. It makes sense that he would come back into Swann's life just for the sake of getting her to kill Blofeld, but after that...why does he give a shit about her at all, to such a degree that he'd personally join his crew in kidnapping her? And what exactly was his motive with the poison supposed to be once he had killed Blofeld? When the movie ended I looked up a plot summary because I figured I had just missed that line of dialogue or something, but I can't find any answer on it.

Funniest part imo was Q trying to explain how Bond needed to press an intricate series of buttons/levers while Bond was already halfway through hurriedly them all. Nobody else in the theater seemed to appreciate that moment lol

    The button/lever joke was fantastic.

Yeah that was classic bond. Great moment.

I wonder if we could potentially get Nomi in her own "007" streaming show

A bit underwhelmed with this one as well, unfortunately.

  16. All the Rami hate kinda blows my mind but I guess if you haven't seen Mr. Robot (one of the best shows ever, also) or The Pacific then I guess I get it. I'm not a huge fan of much of anything else I've seen him in and hate that he won an Oscar over better performances.

    Damn, RIP Jimmy Bond
Dug the movie, gonna miss Craig as Bond. Hope they let the series chill out for a while. Just reboot it in like 10 years

Rami is in the same pool as Jon Hamm where he was so instantly associated with one specific role that was written perfectly for their best traits as an actor and other roles haven’t quite hit that sweet spot. i don’t think Rami has done anything as good post MR as Hammbone has done with The Town and Curb but he definitely has more juice going for him right now in the industry. both good actors, just haven’t loved the parts they’ve chosen since their iconic work

I think Fletch could finally break Hamm free of that.

But it’s kinda the role he’s born to play. Plus Mottola needs a comeback.
