This is kind of the answer to your question; waivers are basically dead for the year in a 16 team league for breakout RBs. So unless Carson never comes back and Penny breaks out or something...you aren't finding 15 carries and 3-4 targets on waivers; and the drop down from Thielen/Adams, while noticeable, isnt as big as the VAST gulf between a Jacobs and a Brown/Bernard

WR1 for RB2/WR2 is basically as standard a trade as their is...you could probably find a stronger RB2, but, you might lose out on the steadiness of someone like Thielen.

 

Interesting views, thank you guys. I think I'm naturally gun shy when it comes to trades, especially trading away big pieces like Adams. I'm definitely probably lower on Theilen (TD regression incoming?) and Jacobs than many others, so maybe that's shading my hesitency too.

I just noticed he has Hockessin AND Ertz, and the fantasy pros trade evaluator is saying he's still getting a slight advantage in this trade, so I may see if he wants to swap one of my lowly bench guys for Ertz too.

 

who would your keeper be for next season if you got rid of adams? i'm assuming jacobs but I personally think i'd lean towards not accepting that trade and just dealing with the sourness of your RB situation. thielen will probably produce well this year and have some nice games, jacobs should be fine and a massive upgrade to your situation--but how confident would you be in him next year?

 

FUCK, it sounds like Gronk is going to sit again on Sunday. I picked up Cook a few weeks ago and he filled in admirably (two out of the three weeks) but he's on bye and I already dropped him.

All pretty bad options. Ertz is intriguing, but I'm already starting Kyler, Hopkins, Prater and Ari D.

The bigger issue is, I really have no one to drop as my bench is Kareem, Pittman, Michael Thomas, Thielen, CEH, Carter.

Would probably have to drop Carter out of all those because I don't want to drop Gronk (and league doesn't have an IR spot).

 

I guess I shoulda clarified the rules more, but basically since Adams was drafted in the first round this year he can't be kept. We can only keep guys drafted outside of rounds 1-3. Yeah if I could keep Adams I'd almost def insta-reject it haha

Yeah, I sat him worrying about TNF and no Mayfield and the Browns just generally sucking on offense...and since I have a few backup options too...but man it would have been nice to bank those 25pts early

I still don't regret using a claim to pick-up Johnson. Would have obviously killed for his 24 points this week, but I expect Chubb to be back by the next game, and once Chubb is back, they'll likely use Felton as the main back-up in the Kareem Hunt role.

 

I wasnt expecting Felton to get many touches, but did genuinely think between a good defense, a bad QB, a 3rd string RB, and TNF...the ceiling was way lower than 25pts.

I decided hoping Damien Williams was back or Hunter Henry v the Jets awful D would be a better play

My opponent this week (6-0 and tied for first) is missing Singletary, Williams, and Thielen. With Saquon ruled out he only has one healthy RB.

 

With Gronk out, should I pick up OJ Howard or Mo Alie-Cox.

Leaning Howard just due to the fire power on that offense, and Brown is out as well.

 

Would y’all consider trading away Antonio Gibson for maybe a Waller or decent WR?

 

Honestly, yes. As a Gibson owner, I see no world where he makes it all 17 weeks...and they're gonna be functionally eliminated from the playoffs by mid-November (after GB and TB losses), its not even that hard to imagine him going on IR to recover at some point.

this is probably auto Booker but i haaaaate his matchup, Panthers have given up the least points to RBs according to yahoo. Davis HAS put up at least 10 points every week this year…
