Yeah referencing 40 years a billion times was meh. Altogether - I enjoyed this a lot more the second time around

 

“DID MICHAEL KILL AGAIN?” also made me cringe.

Not a huge fan of the film. The flashback sequence was really well done and I enjoyed the look of it.

Going to give it a second go around tonight. I absolutely loved the casting of Jim Cummings. I've really enjoyed his work over the past few years.

I just recorded a podcast about this with a friend. Should be live in a day or two, so I’ll share it.

 

I've seen some articles pop up about Halloween Ends, and DGG keeps saying that it's going to jump forward in time to today and will address the pandemic as well.

Didn't they shoot Kills and Ends back-to-back? I was under the impression Ends was already completed. I remember Kyle Richards mentioning on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she was filming both of them at the same time like 2 seasons ago.

The one article I saw mentioned shooting starts in January. Would they really be able to shoot, edit and market an entire film from January to Oct?

 

That was originally the plan, but didn't happen. They're currently planning to begin shooting in January for an October release, which would be the same schedule as the 2018 film.

 

Horror franchises are fun to follow because there’s a good chance you’ll see them shoot and release within a year. Unlike massive blockbusters which will shoot like 1-2 years before you see anything.

 

Might see this in theaters tonight, which should be a fun experience. It's either this or Venom.

 

I don’t get the tone of this at all; it felt like they were spoofing at times. So many bad takes and lines. Reminds of It 2 and how I couldn’t believe it was made by the same filmmaker.

 

I’m enjoying this more my second time around. Taking it for what it is…it’s pure fun.

 

The more I sit with this, the more gripes I have, but I also already feel like watching it again lol the kills absolutely deliver

 

The nurse getting stabbed through the eye in the car and Big John getting stabbed in the arm pit both have stayed in my brain since I saw this opening day.

 

It's the fluorescent light kill for me

I’m seeing this again on Friday with my brother and friends and I’m worried about them tearing it apart, haha. I didn’t love it but I don’t mind the campiness or bad dialogue as much as I think they will. I’m just excited to see it on an even bigger screen this time.
