use headphones with a controller on the wire like the iPod earbuds so you can skip without consulting your phone

    I'd rather delete songs, haha.

But to your point of having songs grow on you, for the most part I don't delete songs but I do sometimes get to the point where I skip some songs literally every time they ever come on. I haven't listened to "Walking Downtown" past the first few seconds since 2010 and I see no reason to again honestly. I haven't deleted that song but there's not really any chance for it to grow on me with me using the skip button as opposed to if I just deleted it. I'm assuming a lot of people who delete songs are like that with the songs they delete. I delete albums I don't like all the time and don't give them the chance to grow on me, I don't know why it's so much crazier to delete songs. I mainly don't do it just because I like albums to be complete, flaws and all, but I can understand why others do it if they don't care about that.

That said, I still fundamentally disagree with deleting songs from this album.

This is one of those albums where I just can't understand what's not to love.

  5. It's boring?
    There's bad songs on it?

    etc

    Sending my love

I keep the whole albums on my iPhone but have very meticulously chosen and ordered playlists if pretty much every artist that I have more than one album from. But I can always go back to the whole album if I want.

I can't understand anyone finding this album boring or how anyone could call these bad songs.

  9. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I have zero reason not to delete songs when I use Apple Music and can add hem back with like three clicks if I ever want to. Otherwise, if deleting songs makes me enjoy the album more, then yeah I'm gonna do it. I generally have a good sense for when things will grow on me and if I'm not getting that at all with certain songs after I feel like I've digested the original album, I just see no reason for me to keep them around.

And whether or not "up in arms" is the appropriate phrase, it's still strange to judge someone's music listening so aggressively

No ones being that aggressive and it was literally one person who said anything about it this time around before your post soooooooo not sure why YOURE so up in arms

    "I'll chew on a dog!"

I'm with Brad. I still much prefer the self-titled record to this one. This record isn't one I can sit down and listen to all the way through like I can s/t.

I feel the opposite, I always skip around the self titled but always sit through this one front to back

I mean, I just don't think anyone should describe someone else's music listening habits as whack or a bad thing to do, but whatever.

The only time I ever listen go it in full now is when I'm driving a distance far enough for the full listen. Otherwise, it's this album or some of the EPs

Well I think deleting songs is both whack and a bad thing to do

Love Me is great, that guitar riff in the chorus is worth the listen alone not to mention the awesome song that it's part of.

deluxe editions aren't really what we're talking about

I do sort of agree when bands have multiple singers, like I can't stand Julia Stone's voice but I love Angus Stone's voice. Same thing with the menzingers. I don't delete their songs though, just make a alternate playlist.
