I didn’t really look into it that much and didn’t realize this would basically just be a stream of their show in LA tonight haha. It’s not bad though. Just kinda feels like a YouTube video or something

Hoping they bring an extra member out for their headliner next year — this is just the two guys switching between guitar/vocals and drums, with Bendrix playing bass on the side. Could really use an extra guitar or some keys

"Blindsided" was one of my favorite songs last year. Really special track.

 

Realized I never heard the Easy/Turns Blue single before. Turns Blue is so good!

 

It's really dumb that I didn't find this album in the fall.

 

They are in the studio with Calvin Lauber (Julien Baker) it appears. He posted a story of them playing last night. It could just be that he got to watch them practice, but I feel since he's a producer they are working on something.

So good, they don't miss. Something about the acoustic/electronic hybrid. I've never thought about it before, but tracks like this have Pinback vibes for sure.

 

I'm seeing them tonight!!! Feel like I know True Love waaay better than the rest of their discog but should be good. Also if anyone hasn't checked out Charlie Martin's solo record, I can't imagine liking Hovvdy and not that.

Saw them last week and they were fantastic! Met them at the merch stand and they are really nice guys.
The opener Molly Parden was quite amazing, I realized I had never seen a performance of just one person and a guitar before (in person.) It really resonated with me. She was also really nice to meet!
