New tunes would be awesome

21 year anniversary of TAYF repress with a full album tour

 

all jokes aside, i would be surprised if it was new music already but i certainly will hope for that. my instincts tell me its a full US tour announcement for 2022.

 

Seeing them Friday, wonder if they play a new song

 

I haven't been into the last couple records but I really enjoyed the new song (or two) that they put out on that greatest hits album. I'd love to be into a new TBS record

 

On his Washed Up Emo episode Adam said TBS was going into the studio soon. The episode was recorded in late July so not sure how that lines up, I don't know anything about recording.

 

i'm seeing them tonight. will keep you all posted if they play something new.

 

yeah if they were only planning on going into the studio august/september at the earliest theres 0% chance its a new album announcement but maybe a single? still assuming it's a 2022 north american tour, and would guess late 2022 early 2023 for the next album.

 

I love TBS. I love that they love touring so much. I've seen them 20+ times. And they probably earn way more income from touring than making new music. I fully get it. But....it's time for new music.

I doubt this announcement is about new music. Pretty sure they've been in a studio twice: Once literally days before the pandemic began and they were in a studio again last month. Not sure it's feasible to have anything ready to announce at this point, but I hope so!

Yeah, i tend to agree that its time for new music but i firmly expect every artist to tour first to make some much needed dough.

 

Update. No new song. But they played a song that goes like “something something something my name is Jonas blah blah blah” haha

 

Looks like they have signed to Photo Finish? Or at least collaborating with them in some form.

Hope it is a new song and not just an announcement of that.

What’s wrong with their partnership with Hopeless? Seems like they’ve been doing alright there

 

PF15 = Photo Finish / 15th anniversary? Louder Now is 15

 

Hopeless is a trash label and I would love it if every band I like that they have would leave it

It's a record label, they're currently celebrating their 15th anniversary. I think based on that tweet above it seems like TBS will be announcing they've signed with Photo Finish tomorrow. That PF15 logo is a temporary logo for the label itself and is referencing Photo Finish's 15th anniversary, not anything related to TBS.

 

For what it's worth, TBS is still listed on Hopeless Records website as an active artist.

 

I think the 15 is just part of the current PF logo. However, if it was an anniversary tour, I’d accept “Louder Now”:

I don’t think they have an album done, so maybe a one off song.

 

Yeah it seems weird to tease an announcement of a label change with no other info (single, tour, album announcement). Def feels that there is no way an album is done, even a single seems somewhat far fetched… so maybe tour? Maybe nothing?

 

Could just be a 'hey we signed with Photo Finish, who will be putting out our next album. We've been writing all year and booked some time to record this winter and hope to have something for you in early 2022"
