Had to switch the language to Korean and watch with English subtitles cause I could not stand the overdubbing at all. But now I’m enjoying it!

Never watch things dubbed

 

One of the few streaming series I would purchase physically.

As far as I’m concerned Netflix doesn’t release films/series on Blu-ray/4K, however.

Edit: nvm, Stranger Things seasons 1 & 2 were released physically

 

When I first started watching anime, I would seek out dubs first because, you know, plebian. But then I started rolling with subs, and now I'm at the point where I don't even want to play video games with English dubs. It feels... wrong.

That being said, some dubs are still pretty good and entertaining.

 

Watched the first four (subbed) last night and I wish I wasn't at work so I could watch the rest. This rules

 

Well this was a ride. I don't remember actually feeling things while watching a show. Episode 6 had me dying.

The VIP scenes were so laughably bad though they really took me out of it

Just finished the marbles episode and now im sitting here crying

Watched this all in one sitting today and woooo boy what a show. Marbles episode was fucked.

 

Yeah, I loved this. The last half hour of the finale was a little too coincidence-y, but otherwise, pretty satisfying.

I thought the videos and pictures the police infiltrator might play into the ending. Apparently not! I’m guessing they just never sent.

 

your second point is valid, that whole thing never really went anywhere and sort of felt pointless

 

Definitely felt like it betrayed the emotional punch of the Marbles episode a bit. But fortunately, its not like we were really left needing to know who was behind the game. That was largely irrelevant. So giving us an unsatisfactory answer is fine cause you can just ignore it and not feel like you're still missing something.

Agreed. They really didn’t need to underline the fact that rich people are bored with money so they do evil things. Pretty sure the VIPs hammered that home.

 

If you were doing squid game for Halloween who would you be. A player, a triangle/circle/square, vip? I'd be the guy smacking people in the face handing out business cards.

How many people can say they watched squid game before it “blew up” in popularity and before everyone was posting about it.

curious to see how many people now will start watching Korean dramas.

 

I think I can say that. Watched it day 1.

I watched stranger which is a Korean drama. First season was wild. And I've started sweet home. Any other recs?
