    Just got out.

Everyone wore masks which was great.

Probably the most emotional Bond I've ever seen. Really really liked it. 8/10

Really, really good. Miles better than Spectre. One-liners were awesome, gadgets were great, kills brutal, emotional, and just ties everything up perfectly. That fancy curvy bridge in Norway I’ve driven on myself; I even spotted the spot where I parked on the side of the road, haha

How the villain’s plan was actually going to work I’m still confused on, but I’m sure we’ll discuss it soon enough here

i have a few smallish gripes (think some were mentioned here already) but i really enjoyed myself with this one. looking forward to everyone else seeing it too, especially since a lot of you are bigger 007 fans than i am

I guess i’m just overall confused.

I think clearly future Bond films are gonna wanna feature this rendition of M, Q, and Moneypenny, so it goes to reason that future Bond films will take place “in this universe”, and I know 007 is just a number, made clear by this film, and James Bond may even just be a name, but it seems so odd to think that in 4-5 years we’re gonna have a new Bond playing Bond playing 007 when the new 007 surrendered the number? It would only seem to make sense that she picks the # back up?

maybe i’m just overthinking this. maybe future bond films will take place in another timeline using the same characters, but i mostly really enjoyed this even if they did seem to force the “this is his last one” theme throughout.

also, yeah what a waste of Ana.
also, yeah the villains motivation and ultimate plan seemed extremely convoluted and like it needed a liiiitle more fleshing out.

“i’m gonna tell you about a man named bond, james bond” was a very very dumb final line lol

"also, yeah what a waste of Ana." What? She was cast perfectly. She wasn't a well known actor when this movie was filmed so not sure what people were expecting? This was pre-Knives Out.

I definitely enjoyed it, but having trouble processing all my thoughts.

Just can’t believe they were gutsy enough to do that thing.

Its a fair point, but i guess heavily featuring her in all marketing set up a false expectation.

This actually didn't start filming until April 2019, while Knives Out finishing filming in December 2018

i wish there was more of her but i didn’t think they “wasted” her here any more than when she in something like fucking war dogs (yes she was in that film)

Pretty sure if they reuse the same cast it will still take place in a different timeline, just like how Judi Dench played M for two different Bond universes.

Crazy to think Craig was in the Bond role almost as long as Judi Dench played M. She obviously had a couple more films, but still.

Yeah the only way I could imagine the next film not being another reboot is if they keep Nomi as 007 and don’t recast Bond. Even so, I imagine there will be a new James Bond a few years down the line, but I think it’s entirely possible they keep this universe with a new 007 for a while, given how they stressed it’s just a number

Bit torn about this one after my first viewing. Loved the action, the gadgets, the one-liners and the emphasis on campy moments this time around. Unfortunately, still think the forced romance between Craig and Seydoux has hamstrung these last two movies significantly. This one tries to leverage Spectre's poor decisions to its benefit, and oddly comes across feeling very un-Bondlike at times as a result.

killing Bond still just isnt sitting right with me, just felt like an unecessarily dramatic way to close out the Daniel Craig Bond era. Like it felt more liken they were killing off Daniel Craig than they were Bond and maybe that was the point? Idk, i probably need to see it again.

When is a good time we an start discussing the finer points of the plot, without spoiler tags?

i spoiler tagged because today is the actual premiere day of the movie hah

people get themselves fussy about spoiler tags when a movie is "out" but, idk i would typically probably give it at least today even though technically the rules say they arent needed anymore.

Like, the dude gets shot several times at near point-blank range, yet lives to show up later in the film?
