It is fascinating, if you hit the person with a monitor from that table, instant DQ. Yet powebombing them into the monitor, totally legal, as long as you get back into the ring within 10s.

The real answer is is it illegal, but over the years, refs have evolved to let certain things go. An illegal partner breaking up a tag. Top rope moves. Even now, you'll see a ref disregard a 10-count in a bigger match just to keep it going. You can tell the move is illegal by how the ref reacts (they'll say "get them out of the corner, get back into the ring, etc"), but they wont be DQ'd for it.

And then there's Lucha Underground, where shits only illegal if a DQ is needed to end a match for story purposes

 

Oh for sure. As a fat dude, I can appreciate him still being great; just hadn't seen him in a long time.

Like, I appreciate the greatness of this spot in that I don't get how they didn't fuck it up, but I cannot fathom seeing that during the match and not thinking "why are these dudes who are supposed to be fighting just standing together on the ropes balancing"? That sort of stuff takes me out of the match a bit. It's impressive as fuck, but, man, there's something to be said (imo, at least) for making it not looking like you're absolutely working together.

 

Just an FYI, Meltzer never actually said those were the plans for the main event

 

Honestly I don't think that match would warrant a main event status anyways.

 

Properly build up to Sasha (c) vs Bayley and maybe this time next year that could be a reality.

 

I hate the brand split for the women so much. Although I must say, it was pretty interesting to see 3 women storylines on one raw

But I still hate it. It forces the wwe to put a new call up in the title hunt right away...which is lame.
