Ok, season recap. 1400th post in this season’s thread.

Undoubtedly the least fun team I’ve watched in years. Just brutal. Construction was always weird, but the chemistry was never good. Boone is flat out bad, the trade deadline gave us a little fun for a streak, but the team never really gelled or felt like they enjoyed playing together. It just felt weird and off all year, and that’s after multiple injury plagued seasons.

Boone needs to go. Lots of changes need to be made, but the brass seem ok tossing out a team that’s just fine and ok each year and cashing in.

Oh well, still enjoyed hanging out in this thread for 163 even if it was a pretty bummer year overall for so many reasons.

No idea who to cheer for next, probably will be around for some of the games coming up, might as well watch Dodgers/Cards and have nothing on the line.

Bottom line: Had higher expectations in March, knew that was way too high by May, and everything played out roughly as expected by tonight, so I can’t be “mad” when it just felt like this was always the upper limit on this team.

To be fair, I think a couple of his most notorious pointing-to-the-sky walk-off home runs allowed were against west coast teams after I had already gone to sleep. But he was mostly decent during the two playoff years, so can't get too hard on him

 

Not bad for a team expected to finish 4th this year. They have a tough series coming up against the best team in the AL, should be fun/tough/frustrating series.
