I get the idea of reevaluating art after initial responses, but some of the arbitrary p4k scores moving around is pretty funny for this rescored thing

 

Yeah the Interpol one is particularly funny

 

"funny" is certainly a word for it

 

The whole rescoring thing is really dumb. Feel similarly about when artists tinker with their songs after they’ve already been uploaded to Spotify.

 

They could at least be bothered to do a full album review/retrospective on it

The Boss is one of my fave Diana from that same era.

 

I never thought I would say it one day but this time I like this song. This cover I mean, I just hate the original one that sounds so joyfull (hate joyfull song). But they did a great kind of funk rock version that finally sounds cool :

thread. damn. might be switching to tidal. fan centered royalties and direct artist payments are huge.

 

I had a Tidal trial once and it's a really good service. I just can't justify switching to it because my cable provider pays for my Spotify.

The sad thing is I would absolutely watch it and just be grumbling at the TV like my Papa used to do with the Red Sox back in the day.

 

Is VEVO still a thing?

 

All of the Vevo channels just got absorbed into the artist's own channels at some point

 

It’s still a thing, but pretty much only as a corner of youtube. Vevo has a different licensing deal with youtube, so that content is monetized differently than vids monetized thru content ID which is different from how auto-generated vids are monetized, or some shit like that, i dunno its confusing

Artist channels, vevos and topics are being unified under official artist channels tho
