I will be pretty disappointed with Sora or the Halo dork. Im also expecting to be pretty disappointed.

 

If it’s Sora I will literally drop the money to buy the game and both expansion passes on the spot.

 

I would just be surprised if it’s Sora because of Disney. Disney is known to be very protective of their IP. Then again this is Smash Bros so Disney may be more open to it.

This tweet is only in Japanese, unlike some of his tweets that are also in English so perhaps when it says the character might not be known, he is talking to the Japanese audience.

The translation is more "Whether you know them or not", I don't think it's deconfirming anyone lol I think it's just more him saying don't be shitty when it's a character you didn't want/were expecting

People are going to be shitty regardless which is a bummer given the amount of work Sakurai has put into this franchise

 

Regardless of who it is, Im excited. I havent played the game since about 7 fighters ago so Itll be fun to revisit it with a bunch of new people.

 

I'm pretty sure that tweet deconfirms Waluigi. If you're someone that plays Smash Bros then you would know who waluigi is.

 

Regardless it sounds like the thrust of the tweet is that some people may know this character and some people may not. That means it's probably not somebody who is known by pretty much everyone, like Sora or Master Chief. It's someone more obscure or from a dormant franchise or something like that.

I've seen people bring up the idea that it could be Shin Megami Tensei V's protagonist, that could definitely be a possiblity.
