In the "Reference" section it mentions Quarter 3/4, implying this information report is new information for the rest of the year?

 

Just for that quarter, if LP5 is meant for the 4th quarter then I assume they would wait for that information report to mention it

 

Is there a lot of information floating around the Supporter's thread that we're not privy to here? Or more of the same rumors and guessing?

There are definitely some things this thread isn't privy to, but for the most part we know nothing.

 

I love Brand New albums. I do not love Brand New.

 

I would imagine they're trying not to overshadow Kevin and promote his release before they jump into their own.

 

Being a Brand New fan these days is like being an Atlanta sports fan. So much hope, so much promise, the feelings are great. Then we are forced to join in the collective sigh coupled with "well, maybe next year". It hurts to be both

 

I had to write a paragraph for my college writing course about something I love, and I chose the TDAG. This is what I wrote, if anyone is interested (it's long, I know):

My favorite album of all-time is The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me by Brand New. My reasons for loving this album are largely based on my personal experience and the memories I have created around it, however I also think it stands out as an exceptional piece of music. The band’s use of dynamics is masterful, and creates a sonic landscape that is outfitted with dips, swells, tension, and release. The first track on the album, “Sowing Season,” begins with simple power chords on the guitar and a subdued vocal melody before erupting at the one-minute mark with bombastic drums and a searing, frenetic lead guitar line. Other songs, such as “Jesus Christ” or the mostly acoustic closer “Handcuffs” remain subdued and restrained through their entirety. This back and forth keeps the listener engaged, as there is never one tonal element or sound that lasts for too long or becomes stale. Additionally, singer Jesse Lacey’s vocals and lyrics resonate with me on a deep level, combining beauty, love, pain, heartbreak, death, and fear in a swirl of emotion. Lacey can switch his voice from a gentle croon to a roaring scream in seconds, conveying the feelings and emotions behind his words in a thoroughly convincing manner. Lines like “I wish that I could tell you right now ‘I love you’/But it looks like I won’t be around/So you won’t know” from “You Won’t Know” are poignant without becoming heady or complex, allowing me to relate his story back to my own life and internalize his message in an intimate, personal way. The Devil and God… is an extremely dynamic record made even better by Lacey’s moving vocal performance and lyrics, and is an album I have carried with me since I was in 8th grade. For all those reasons and more, it is an easy shoe-in for my favorite album of all-time.

 

If there's any glimmer of hope, under "status" in the information report, it says "Pt 1-Closed". All others have just said closed.

 

I mentioned this, in the Supporter thread I think, but there wasn't really any room left on this report. I think we're getting part 2 very soon.

To clarify, as I think it will be very soon, I simultaneously fully believe it will be never.

 

I figured someone might've mentioned it in there haha. My sub just ran out, but I'll be renewing it soon hopefully!

 

That reads like I'm saying, "HEY! I ALREADY SAID THIS! I CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF THIS PARTICULAR NEWS!"

But it was more, "Hey, I don't want to repeat myself, but I would also like to point out that there wasn't much room left in the report for new LP info."

 

soon, as in this century, sure.

 

Eh, this century is a little too optimistic, friend.

I'd aim more for the century after next.

 

Brand New actually had a few releases this year. The IAAN and Mene singles, the Leaked Demos, and the Reworked Demos.

To the best of my memory, Procrastinate's original info report just said that BN would have a "release" in 2016. They had 4.

 

It also specifically said that IAAN is from an upcoming album.

 

Knowing Brand New they were probably referring to the physical album single of IAAN that was released after the song was released digitally.

 

I believe that these P!MT Information Reports could be written in such a way to give them an out on promising anything, but I think the intention to release an album this year was underlying the whole process.

When summer officially ends in two weeks, and we have no new single or album announcement, then you have my permission to panic. *Bane's voice*

 

All I know is that I opened the P!MT Information Reports fully expecting some kind of new music announcement, whether that was a single or album related. Unfortunately I was disappointed that the only new music news was for Kevin Devine.

 

They should sell Kevin Devine vinyl for $250 which includes a time ticket to purchase the Brand New LP on vinyl for $500.

 

I'd be disappointed too if I were you, especially with a band with a stupid fucking name like Biffy Clyro. What even is that?! Admittedly I've never listened to them, so I couldn't give an opinion other than their name is stupid.

Surprised at BN supporting though if it's their last UK tour, hoping for your (& other UKers) sake it isn't!
