Does anyone else get recut from weird "Illuminati" accounts on Instagram because you follow them?

Man this is so fucking good. Kiss Yr Frenemies Pt 2 in the best way, couple of left field moments too. A perfect follow up.

Just saw this but yes, after I followed the band I got all sorts of follows from illuminati accounts lol

  8. First impression -- this somehow exceeds expectations and I love it.

(Kind of embarrassed that I didn't make the connection between following IH and getting followed by Illuminati accts hahah)

First time I've actually got around listening to this band and it's a lot of fun. Definitely going to put on Kiss Yr Frenemies later too.

  13. So happy to see someone say this. I play it all the time, happily overpaid for the LP, and am slightly pre-sad that she might not feature it much this tour :seeno:

This is good. Some of the slower tracks lost me a little bit, but I could see them growing on me. The run of the first 5 tracks is probably the best thing she’s done so far.

I actually like the slower tracks more haha

Only half way through, but i'm not sure I like this as much as the "mixtape" album. It's good, but has lost a bit of the unpredictability. Which is understandable considering the slapdash nature of the mixtape and this being more of a proper album. Just not sure if there will be too many times i'll revisit it.

  21. Yeah I don’t love this like I love Free IH. I’ll probably come back to it a few times to see if anything sticks, but right now, I’m kind of let down

was literally listening to knead right now and came into this thread to say this.

  23. I wouldn’t call it a letdown but I agree that it doesn’t quite touch Free IH for me.

A song like “reasons 2 live” was way easier to embrace than the singersongwriter-y tracks on this one, which are definitely the lowest points for me.

Curious, for the people let down was Free IH your first record from them? Or did you hear Kiss Yr Frenemies first? I can definitely get the complaints, it’s kinda interesting to think what the follow up to this will be like considering most of it was written before Free IH.

I’m really loving this one, but I also was a big fan of Kiss Yr Frenemies, and this definitely feels like a beefed up version of that record.

  25. Heard KYF first, enjoyed but forgot about it, then came around to Free IH after Pool Hopping came out.

I totally agree that this album is a clear step forward from KYF and evokes a lot less of Free IH, so with that timeline in mind, I’m less surprised that I appreciated the general sound and personality of Free IH (and the first singles from LMDOM) more than either proper album as a whole.
