Growing up I was raised to see GTA and stuff like The Simpsons and South Park as "bad" influences. A lot of gamers seem to be on 4chan or reddit, which I've also stayed away from. I wonder if part of the reason GTA got further than "better" games on that poll is that gamers are generally terrible people, but I feel like that's making a ton of assumptions.

Aaero is both deceptively awesome and frustratingly difficult. For me, anyway. Because I suck at these kinds of games. But I had a good time while doing it.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I played the hell out of Dark Dawn and finished it but nothing touches the originals!

Thankfully we hands Eiyuden Chronicles as a spiritual successor to Suikoden to look forward to!

 

I'm a little confused by this development, mainly because I don't understand what Netflix's intentions are. Like, let's say Night School makes a game for Netflix. Does that mean it will exclusively be available on Netflix's service? Or will it come to Steam and etc. but just have Netflix branding?

I want to be excited about this, because they're a good studio and I could see them being a great match for some particular Netflix properties, but I'm also worried I'll potentially never see a game from them again.

 

Last time I read something they were focusing on mobile games

 

Eastward update: I'm now done with Chapter 2. Tomorrow I'll start Chapter 3 and find out what everyone is hootin' and hollerin' about.

Who, Netflix? I know they were testing games out on their app, but those games were pretty much designed for mobile to begin with, so I'm not sure if that's indicative of their larger plans.

I hope not, because that's my worry: what does this mean for Night School? Are they going to only make mobile games from now on? I mean, I don't feel like being a mobile game is a crime; there are a lot of great mobile games out there. But I prefer to play games via Steam when possible.

 

Spoiler for this expansion, its really really good. Already has one of the best moments in gaming in it and Im just a few hours in.
