I've spent most of the morning trying to think of who they could get as headliners for next year without repeating and I feel like Jimmy Eat World should be their primary target, haha. Maybe Rise Against and The Used as well? Not really sure how many truly "headliner status" bands there are that fit this festival niche. My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Panic! all seem too big for it.

Felt the whole weekend was so well put together! After long food, beer/water lines from day one they added additional help and it was smooth sailing after. Set times were pretty spot on which was great! What a weekend, Unearth surprised me yesterday, Knocked Loose brought it down, and finished the night with Turnstile.

Overall, even though my body is beat, great weekend!

 

I was asking myself “why the hell are security guards carrying guns?” But then I remembered the fest is still in Alabama.

I love how many of the artists on my personal wish list for next year have been mentioned already. I think Thrice makes so much sense in the Thursday / Mayday Parade slot, maybe even the main headliner one night. I would love to see them grab Alexisonfire, that could be a headline grab. Boys Night Out would be so damn cool. Finch would be a great reunion option. A lot of the bands that had to drop off will surely be invited back to play. I just hope they can find a really similar level of awesome artists next year without having too many of the current ones returning. That will be a challenge for sure. I saw Cane Hill already tweeted out at the furnace fest Twitter requesting an invite, so maybe we’ll get that. Bring in Counterparts and let’s get another weekend of Brendan guest featuring on a million sets.

 

Brendan guest featuring all weekend? Somebody get the 1975 to play so we can see a truly great guest feature.

I think bands wildly underestimated how much merch people were planning to buy. I couldn’t get a shirt in my size from at least five that I tried.

 

Furnace Fest was one of the greatest weekends of my entire life. My friends and I are already planning on making the trip from Chicago again next year. Would love to see Botch and The Dillinger Escape Plan as potential reunion sets. Fear Before and The Blood Brothers as well.

Going next year no matter what. Hopefully they have early bird passes to purchase at a discount. It's wild this fest is just an hour north of where I live. Absolutely insane lineup and all three days was such a blast. See y'all next year.

Could definitely see Oh Sleeper and A Plea for Purging getting mixed in

 

Not the biggest A Day to Remember fan but I feel like they would headline this nicely. Mayday Parade did nothing for me and I got the same sense from a lot of folks around me.

As far as reunions. Would love Fear before and Blood Brothers. Others - Oh Sleeper, yep. Fall of Troy, Chasing Victory.
So sad Maylene & the sons isn't playing anymore due to Dallas being in an accident because they would absolutely kill it.
