It’s a great short story. The reactions this film got from Fantastic Fest last night make it seem like it’s gonna be a hit.

this is a real grab bag. fair amount of it is compelling but there’s these strange comedic moments that end up jarring when mixed in with everything else. a few jump scares make themselves known, which as far as that stuff goes could’ve been worse. still hope people show up for this cause i’d like for it to pay off for derrickson separating himself from the mcu

Love how this is a short story written by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). Excited to eventually see this, looks pretty damn terrifying.

This was okay. Really wanted to like it a lot more. The audience in my theater were super into it though. I’ve never read any Hill but you can certainly see his dad’s influence in an adaptation like this.

Thought this was really great. Also you can definitely tell it's Joe Hill, there's some definite King vibes in this.

Liked this a lot. Realized during the climax that I was clenching my fists, which is usually a good sign for a movie in my opinion!

Pretty good but not great. Kinda shallow/surface level. Thought we’d get a little more info on the grabber but nope. Also how the fuck does an entire town not notice a creepy black van full of black balloons at any point haha

I really enjoyed this! The kids were very good, especially Gwen. I had a good time watching it.

Definitely feels like it came straight from Joe Hill and now I wanna go read one of the few books I haven’t read by him.
