Think Volk is going to hold the belt for a while and generally be one of those overlooked champions. Really don't think Nick wants to be there (even by Diaz standards) and being off for six years. Could get ugly. But also, it's two old and washed dudes, so who really knows.

Yeah, I don't see Diaz looking phenomenal by any means, but I think my issue is mainly that I've lost a little bit of faith in Lawler at this stage in his career to pick him in this fight. Since his war with Condit, he's gone 1-5 with the one win not even being that convincing. He kinda reminds me of Woodley in that he doesn't look bad, but he looks a little frozen in there. Diaz is a wildcard at this point, but I still feel more comfortable picking him I think.

I think Rogan is a little checked out, to be honest. He already dropped down to Vegas-only cards, then he moved to Texas and did even fewer cards after that. Now it just sounds like he’s finding more and more reasons to pass them up.

 

Definitely. I don’t enjoy him as much as I used to. It’s mostly because of his shitty podcast/political views and I feel like him doing less events makes him worse at his commentary. My preferred team for PPVS is Anik/Cormier/Cruz nowadays. Unfortunately we have Felder tomorrow replacing Rogan who is my least favorite.

 

Yup I have grown to really enjoy Cruz.


I wouldn't be surprised if UFC just wants Rogan out of the spotlight right now. Or if Rogan asked to skip a couple.
