Overall, I'm lukewarm on this iteration of Blink, but The First Time is one of my favorite Blink songs. Love how it kicks off Nine.

  3. if i was to rank my favorite blink album openers (which we would NEVER do on this forum) "the first time" would prooooobably be last. still a good song though.

:crylaugh:They sure know how to pick an opener though. Home runs to start off every album.

Lots of good openers to choose from though. It does kick off Nine well in terms of the sound of the album.

I listened to that song like 68 times in a matter of days. It still puts me in such a good mood.

All the YouTube ‘covers’ were hilarious too. Most sounded exactly the same but they turned their guitar volume up a lot only to say “if blame it on youth was on enema of the state”.

Sometimes I think YouTube's main purpose is for people to show they know better what blink 182 should be than blink 182 does

Agreed. It’s a good mood song. I like Happy Days too. It’s a simple message and positivity. That video during lockdown was fun.

Sad news. First band I ever saw live when I was 12 years old opening the Mark, Tom, and Travis show tour. Hope his chemo is successful.

  15. Lifeforms is easily Tom’s best work since Blink, but it’s still not better than either of the last two blink albums.

agreed. Someone told me how amazing "stockholm syndrom" was. I go to listen to it (they were wrong, it was actually called "stockholm syndrome interlude"). It was dogshit. Tom sounded like a 40 year old woman with a fake accent and was basically 'talk singing'). Never went back to that album ever again.

Seems like an odd and unnecessary post, considering the current conversation was not about that album.

If you’re gonna make a bold statement have some reason for your criticism.

  24. Trolling us because there's no such thing as a self-titled album, it's actually untitled.
