This is embarrassing to say because I’m only a only a few songs TSL fan but I just started a new job at a cellular store and they started a new playlist that included some Christmas music. One of the songs is definitely TSL or at least it seems. Sounds just like Kenny Vasoli. After searching some of the lyrics on google I can’t find it anywhere.

it goes something like “we’re exactly where we’re suppose to be” that’s the only part I remember. Any help on identifying the song?

 

Ho Ho Hopefully by The Maine

A lot of people back in the day did used to say John sounded like Kenny. I never really heard it personally, but you’re definitely not alone!

 

That’s so funny, on the previous playlist we had it The Maine - Sticky. Maybe because I was only half listening but it sounded like Kenny to me so much. Mystery solved!

 

I still think it’s wild he had a song on a Super Bowl commercial this year. And I wonder how much that check was for and if it paid for this vacation haha

 

It’s really weird I’m reading this, because today I was listening to Direction and thought at one part the way he sounded annunciating a word sounded like the singer from The Maine haha. Don’t really feel that way in general, but I can’t remember which exact song it was.

 

Well now I'm listening to Ho Ho Hopefully for the first time. Yeah, I can definitely understand the Kenny comparisons.

 

On their first couple eps, that comparison got thrown around a lot.

 

I never noticed that comparison but now that it's brought up I can't not hear it

 

The Way We Talk was straight up TSL worship

 

The only Kenny vocal doppelgänger I could ever really hear was the Dangerous Summer guy. The similar choice in melodies definitely helps. I denied it many years ago because I’ve always hated that band, but it really is just facts

 

I remember people saying that in like 2008 but I never heard it. They're both in my top 10 fav artists though

 

The former singer of Real Friends kind of reminded me of Kenny, but I couldn’t get into Real Friends at all.

 

That last Real Friends album was similar to Kenny

 

I could only get into a few songs on that last name because it reminded me so much TSL.

 

Kenny from moneen has a lot of Kenny from TSL moments

 

Have you heard his cover of Island?!

 

I mean it doesn't touch the original but it really does sound like Kenny could interchange into it and you'd barely notice. Kenny's voice is much more graceful and diverse imo but love how both of them really tear into sounds and make you feel it. Kenny's one of my favorite vocalists and anything that Dan sings on I'll probably like.

 

Damn I'm the last person to post. Anyway, can't make the show tomorrow at Franklin Hall. Is anyone interested in a ticket? It's negotiable just don't want it to go to waste.
