Mine shipped, but Apple has not notified me yet officially. Sign up for a UPS My Choice account, or do a UPS 'Track by Reference' using the phone number that you used with the order and it should show up. Apple doesn't send their shipping e-mails until like the Thursday before delivery at midnight.

 

Mine is still "Preparing to Ship." I vaguely remember that the shipping felt insanely fast from "Shipped" to "Delivered" the last time I did this, (though circumstances have changed a lot in that time). I really need to get mine on Friday so I can do my trade-in on Saturday while I still have AppleCare for my current phone.

 

This explains the percepton of speed I referenced in my post haha.

 

Ha, yeah. I got my tracking from UPS on Saturday night because I have a My Choice account. My phone left Alaska this morning according to the tracking, but Apple still says "Preparing to Ship".

 

Hmm I have a My Choice account but I haven't gotten anything. I did look it up by reference and I do have something that says "On the Way" with literally no other information so maybe that's it? I don't think I'm expecting any other packages lol

 

Nvm I logged in to my My Choice account and I see a shipment for Friday. Weird, I usually get a text as soon as it creates the shipment but didn't get one this time

 

I don't think the texts come until it is processed and cleared in the US.

 

Mine shipped and has a delivery date of tomorrow. Here's to hoping.

 

That makes sense, good to know. Mine does say it got processed in Alaska this morning so I'm sure I'll be getting a text any minute lol

oh actually, that new "Golden Brown" looks like it would probably darken pretty nice with the red. My plans have NOT been ruined! But will probably see it in person and decide then

 

The screen on my Watch started to detach this morning, so it looks like I'll have both a new phone and a new (replacement) watch pretty soon.

 

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you get rid of notifications that come through while you’re using your phone now? I always pulled down on them and hit the X to get rid of them, but it’s different now. What am I missing?

 

Same thing happened with me when I ordered my 12 mini last year. I think Apple suppresses those notifications somehow.

 

I hope I'm understanding you right but... just swipe them back up?

That doesn’t clear them from the notification centre, that just gets them off the screen when they pop up.

Before iOS 15, you could pull down on a notification and X it out to get rid of it completely.

 

The only time the address bar being at the bottom throws me off is when I try to hit refresh

 

I changed that immediately back to address bar on top once I saw it.

 

I don’t really mind it on the bottom.

I feel like that decision was made for people with small hands haha

I have small hands. Maybe that’s why I don’t mind it. Like it’s already intuitive to just tap it to type in a url or just go forward and back. But something about hitting refresh still takes my thumbs to the top

Nothing like an iOS update to make me feel technologically illiterate, but is anybody else having alarm issues on iOS 15?? I use Sleep to set my wake up alarm, the alarm ringer volume is set all the way up, but my phone makes no noise. The alarm is “going off” according to the screen, but the phone makes no sound. My ringer switch is on silent, but at least in the past that hasn’t affected alarms. Would’ve slept through my alarm twice this week if not for having a physical alarm clock as a backup.
