iPadOS Home Screen take 1.

 

Finally worked. Actually looks different for the first time in a while

 

I still haven’t had the chance to ever customize my Home Screen

 

Address bar on the bottom makes so much more sense now that its happened

 

My muscle memory betrays me.

 

Gonna hold off on updating until I have my new phone

I wish Apple would automatically push Radical to my phone right now.

 

Been using iOS 15 for a week now and loved the Safari updates already. Since the official release though, I’ve installed a bunch of extensions and it’s even better now. Makes browsing so so much nicer. First thing I did was buy an extension to bypass Google AMP which is great. The 1Password extension seems great too.

Apollo just updated with an extension that automatically opens Reddit links in Apollo. This stuff is so good.

 

This floating bar not being aligned and just a little over the banner annoys me no end

 

Also I love seeing peoples layouts. Gives me loads of ideas that I’ll never implement haha. My screens are a mess, but most of the time I launch apps from the system tray. I should just hide everything except the essentials

More alignment issues. There’s a lot to love design wise but a few niggles to smooth out

 

Oh dang I just downloaded the Google AMP blocker extension. Slick.

Not sure how long it has been missing, but I definitely thought you could have multiple copies of the same app on your home screen earlier in the betas. Was pretty excited to make different Focuses and have certain home pages go away for certain ones, but with some overlapping apps on each.

No you can! I have phone and notes on multiple home pages right now, for both my work focus page and regular home page

 

Am I missing something? Let's say for example I'm trying to duplicate the Music app. I have it on my second page. So I'm going to the app library and long pressing to get the "add to home screen" button and not seeing it. I'm assuming that's the only way to do it, right? Do I maybe need to hide the page it's currently on first so it's not *technically* there?

 

That may be how i did it. Honestly i did it a couple months ago and don’t remember how, it’s definitely not intuitive tho

 

Just drag it from the App Library on to whatever page you are wanting it on.

 

Got it. Didn't even think to do that. Weird I can't just select add to home screen again.

I have the Symmetry case, as well. I drop my phone constantly and it’s a lifesaver. Slim and shows off the color of my phone but still protects it well

 

Oh God, what have they done to Safari??

 

I'm trying to give the new Safari a chance. Hoping it's just muscle memory making me dislike it so far haha
