I just can't do cases or screen protectors, consequently i've cracked almost every phone I've ever had, but I've got high hopes for my first ceramic shield device.

Made it so close to the finish line with my 11 pro though, got a minor crack on the top corner like a month ago I really thought I'd go the distance this time lol

  4. I rocked the last year or so of my XS with no case and it's been great. But these phones are sooo slippery, I am for sure going with a leather case on my 13 Mini

Does Overcast do streaming on a cellular Apple Watch? If so, I may finally move over to it.

I've always had cases and glass screen protectors on my iPhones, but I'm seriously considering going protector-less with my 13 Pro Max. I've never scratched or broken my phone, ever.

Still love the Apple leather cases, though, so I'm getting one of those.

Ordered my 256gb Silver Pro Max this morning.

Also helped my aunt grab a Pro in Sierra with an X trade in, and my uncle grab a 13 in blue with an X trade in.

Currently working on bumping my best friend from an 8 Plus to a 13 with a trade in, too.

I can't say for sure, but it seems to still be eligible for yearly upgrades. My guess is you'll just need to make up the difference (to get to the 50% threshold) next September if you want to do the turn-in and upgrade thing.

Can anyone tell me if you have one of those cases from Bullstrap with the card holder (or the leather wallet from Apple for that matter) on your phone will your wireless charger still work? I've got one of these 3-in-1 Mophie ones

Before I get one of those cases (or the wallet), I just want to make sure it'll still charge my phone if I have my cards in there, or do I have to take them out first?

don't put your wallet/case on the magsafe charger the magnetics will fuck up your cards lol. you take the wallet/wallet case off and then place it on the charger. i have a case + wallet and take the wallet off and then put it on the belkin 3in1 charger at night

I’ve had the Bullstrap Portfolio and you definitely have to remove your cards for it to charge wirelessly. It definitely won’t work through the MagSafe wallet.

I use an Otterbox symmetry case and the Otterbox screen protector, and I always forget it’s even on there. I never used to think I needed one, but somehow every phone I never used one on ended up covered in micro scratches, and I’m typically pretty careful with my phone.

May not be absolutely necessary, but I’d rather just use a good quality glass screen protector and a case and not worry about my phone at all.

The dark cherry leather case color looks niiice with a silver phone in the camera hole, might have just swayed me.

My mother’s 12 Pro screen got super scratched up without a screen protector after only a week of carrying it around in her handbag, so while the new screen tech is great for drops scratching is definitely still an issue. The Peel tempered glass screen protector is great imo, you don’t even know its on there.

Yeah I’m usually very careful. Never cracked a screen. Usually use screen protectors but it never fails that when I don’t have one I get a significant scratch somewhere. To me, they don’t take away from the screen itself so it’s worth the peace of mind

the iPhone 12 was the first time I've used a screen protector and I was shocked how nice it felt, for some reason way smoother than the original glass surface and less prone to smudging.

I ended up removing it because I mounted it with a bit of a slant but I am strongly considering having one put on my 13 pro by a professional.

Seems the Otterbox cases this year don’t hide the bump with the case so effectively the phone won’t lay flat. That will be weird.

Completed my order for my 13 Pro Max from Verizon at about 8:02am EST on Friday morning and I now have a “we’re working on an updated shipping date” notice after having it in place for the 24th.

All of my confirmations say the 24th, too.

Thanks for the suggestions for the Samsung T5 SSD a month or so ago folks, I can't believe how fast the write speeds are for something over a USB-A port. 3 minutes to copy 45GB of data haha.

Still can't believe Big Sur requires 31GB to install, in addition to the 12GB+ installer.

Random question - to the people using this hard drive, are you actually using the Samsung app installer that comes loaded on it, or just reformat it and use it as a normal external hd?
