I just hope they play “Survive” and a song from RPM. I’d be happy with that.

When is the last time they played anything off of RPM? Probably the only way I would really go out of my way to see them at this point.

Tens of people on Facebook right now demanding a refund because the headliners overlap. One claiming to have been to "dozens" of "major" music festivals with zero headliner overlap. Filing this under "LOL" and am forever grateful for this thread!

A small bastion of sanity and Kevin Lyman butt-eating fantasies thanks to @sam_might_say in a sea of Internet absurdity.

Lmao all major festivals have headliners overlap unless it’s the Dwp fests they don’t since they are only like 2 stages

That’s hysterical. I wish I had the time and motivation to just screen shot all the major festivals this year alone that have overlapping headliners… pretty Life is Beautiful has Green Day and Illenium overlap one day… just a small snack

Yeah, this person referenced Welcome to Rockville. Which has 3 stages, one of which has headliners that would be top of the middle for Riot Fest (i.e., mid-day main stage).

It's just a simple fact. Music festivals will have overlap. They could reduce that by having fewer bands or fewer stages but then people would complain about the lack of variety or reduction in the number of stages/bands...

Rise Against being added doesn’t do much for me, but I know people who are stoked about it, so I’m happy for them.

Furnace fest just dropped their schedule and has some brutal overlaps

  10. My main takeaway from the Furnace Fest schedule is that 15/20 minute changeover times seems… optimistic. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that either runs behind schedule or some sets get cut short.

Rise Against is a big upgrade from Faith No More for me, but I’m still planning to leave early that day to get to the pizza party. I don’t like Anthrax at all, but at least now I don’t have to feel guilty about choosing Thursday over Mr. Bungle.

I'm so nervous we won't get there in time for a time slot. Trying to get there a good amount of time before doors.

Sorry to dredge up the wrong thread, but what's the green line stop that you're referring to? Is it Western Ave? That looks like a pretty big walk (~27 minutes) but would probably be quicker than waiting for a train!

Yeah it would be the western stop, but it’s also a pink line stop too I believe. There are a few pink stops near Douglas bc it’s such a big park area. Depending on your walk speed I would think 20-25 minutes sounds about right. Should be around a mile or so.

Anyone recall if you can bring sunscreen into the festival because my pasty ass skin is going to need it.

I have long legs. My partner, not so much but... Yeah. That's a good "cheat" if lines are really long!

According to the FAQ, they allow sunscreen in non-aerosol containers. I usually give myself a spray at the hotel, then bring lotion to lay on the rest of the day.

I’m tempted to go to the pizza party. I just want to know if Ratboys is one of the secret bands or not. That will heavily influenced my decision.

I thought it was established the headliner is IIOI

Yeah but I’m referring to the undercard. I know Maxwell Stern is one of the opening acts and Ratboys and IIOI are close friends so I want to know if they’re also one of the openers. There are currently two “secret acts” (one being IIOI) listed on the poster for the show.

It's IIOI (playing Proper) and Devon Kay & The Solutions

Evan revealed it and the set times

Something to note: Norman from Texas Is The Reason is filling in for Tom with Thursday for their next run of shows
