FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Lol can only hope this energizes the team on the way to play some bad teams

And FYI no strike would ever get called on that poor of an exchange between pitcher and catcher unless it was exactly down the middle lol

The Yankees should be irrelevant to you lol. You should WANT them in the playoffs, Rays are the Yankees daddy.

That would've been even more painful if they extended the game cause Chapman 100% would've blown it

Wait really? Three games in the wild card? What have the Reds and Padres been doing for the last week? That's pretty doable to be honest

It wasn't particularly borderline of a pitch, but at that moment I still firmly expected Diaz to blow it and needed to project blame onto somebody else

  7. yeah the NL wild card is gonna be a very intense pillow fight down the stretch lol. we just won a series vs cincy and I was shocked to discover today that that somehow meant we were only 1 GB

Mets have to go 14-4 against the cards, Phillies, red Sox, brewers, braves, marlins.

This "better" play is too little too late. 3gb with a ton of teams in front is daunting. We have to get to 85 wins.

Always happy to beat the yanks though and helping to spoil their season is fantastic

The mets season comes down to this week. 6 straight games against 2 of the 3 teams they need to chase for the WC. If they dont win 4 or 5 of these games theyre gonna be 6 or so games out of the WC and probably further back in the division race.

Extremely odd decision to let everyone into the stadium regardless of vax status and then once inside when its far harder to crowd control do you start to crack down.

I'd rather the whole stadium be vax only, but this seems to make some sense to me. If you're allowing everyone, there's far less vax cards to check going into restaurants than the main gates, and it's much more important in an indoor restaurant.

I actually don't know what indoor restaurants are at Citi. I used to get to go to the Diamond Club at Shea, but haven't "dined" at Citi.

My guess it's to be in compliance with NYC's vax passport for indoor dining, not like actually caring about keeping people healthy. But it still seems odd to me that you have to show that you're vaccinated to go to the gym (where you could just wear a mask) but the city allows 40k mostly unmasked people to gather without checking.
