Uber customer service is terrible. They’re not giving me a credit, in which I’m entitled to. They kept saying the same copy/paste message. All from different agents

I can't log in to the program I use for work. Since I work from home, I basically can only email them for help with anything so I did. Told them I tried rebooting everything, etc. with no luck. So 45 mins later of me just sitting here not getting paid they finally email back, please try rebooting your computer and modem and let us know if that works. Well if you woulda read my email I ALREADY TRIED THAT!!! So I try again and guess what??? Still not fixed. It's been hours and they still just keep telling me to reboot. Whyyyy???

Trying out hinge again. Came across someone that seems comparable. Especially with music choice. Looked through the rest of his profile... he’s someone that ghosted me in the past -.-

Is there a place to vent generally about the tone of the forums? Particularly the music forum. I honestly feel like that place is weirdly mired in what I want to call "toxic positivity."

I'm someone who likes to think critically about the stuff I like. Songs by bands I like that I think are interesting experiments and maybe don't work. Albums by bands you love that you find flawed. But if you say anything remotely "negative" in these threads what results is just a bunch of posters making snarky comments and jokes about how the songs are actually good and the album/band is perfect. See the Turnstile/Pressure Machine threads. Like it's not an earnest response at all. Worst case scenario someone posts a gif. Like I actually want to talk about this stuff but instead everything that isn't "man this rules" gets immediately shut down.

It's not just a few posters; everyone does it, including mods and uhhh the big boss man. I see it happening to other posters besides me too. Maybe it's not intentionally dismissive but that's how it comes across. These responses would make sense if we were trolling, but I think one way to show you really like something is to actually critique it. It's really annoying and disappointing.

This is probably a super specific thing that no one on here will give a shit about but a lot of people in the rhythm game community have been outed as predators and abusers and I am all for them being exposed but I find it exhausting that so many of them engage in performative activism to cover up their misgivings and I always feel terrible for the people they mistreat because unfortunately there's this weird attitude where people will give them a pass because they happen to be really good at DDR or In The Groove or Pump It Up or beatmania IIDX or Sound Voltex or what the fuck ever other rhythm games exist and the suffering of the victims is completely ignored

My anger knows no bounds. I took Lyft twice home from work because it was cheaper than Uber and I couldn’t get a ride home from a con worker. Those rides were posted and now I have additional “hold” charges pending. WTF!! Lyft seems to respond and have the same terrible customer service like Uber. If they don’t correct this, I’m calling my bank. But then my bank will take a week to correct the issue for the dispute. UGH

When you ask someone to follow the process your work says needs to be done to get a staff members expense paid. They came back with a snyde remark about the process I don’t have control over. For something that would take one minute to fix. Circumvent me. Then the “big boss” says the exact same thing and copies me in.

I AM TRYING TO HELP YOU GET PAID ASAP.

Me and my fiancé have been trapped in the same fight for days/weeks/months and it just keeps coming back around and it always sucks. Today is the anniversary of us getting engaged and it's just been awful and tense.

me and my friends went on a day trip last week to la just to go hiking and visit the city. My friend at the time didn’t mention that he was sick because he didn’t want to ruin the trip and make me cancel.

it turns out he was sick and he had covid so he gave it to me and I didn’t know that I had given it to my dad. I’m so pissed right now because it’s like dude going to la isn’t special so why not tell these things. He’s lucky me and my dad are vaccinated so all we are feeling is a flu like symptoms.

I've done a pretty good job of no longer getting upset over things I can't control but it's starting to get a little emotionally exhausting constantly encountering some sort of bullshit. Like being stuck in Ohio for 2 days longer than I originally planned last weekend due to the muffler on my car almost falling off and the news of most of the charges against my father apparently getting dropped. The former I realize was kind of inevitable because things just go wrong on cars at times and I did get it fixed, the latter I'm actually much more fucking angry about because he legitimately ruined people's lives and is basically being let off with a slap on the wrist and I'm sure when they end up just giving him probation he'll make some miraculous recovery and no longer need to be in a nursing home and he'll try weaseling his way back into my life but I absolutely will not have it

I have the worst luck. I recently bought some bread and it was sliced horribly. Half of it either super thin or super thick. I can probably manage with the thick portion but the thin one is like a sliver and useless. I don’t have time or gas to keep going back to the store to return or exchange “faulty” items. Recently had to change something because it was moldy. I’m on a very tight budget so every penny counts! Some people will never understand that. They just attack you. My bills increased nearly $600 monthly and I make the same $$$

This a stupid vent. I got called for three interviews today. (Yay!) WHY are all of women’s clothing so damn baggy/wide legged?!? I have lost significant weight since my transplant so I literally don’t have anything appropriate to wear. My first interview is Wednesday

I think I lost a close friend since highschool for making things too political or whatever. We reconnected this year but it turns out they have a don't ask don't tell philosophy on anything LGBTQA. I kinda interrogated where they were coming from on it and they definitely came off as hostile under pressure. Tbf I gotta wonder if I could've reacted to their behavior better myself, but in any event it sucks and I feel a sense of loss, even though this is probably for the best.

Downstairs neighbor has issued a noise complaint on us. The complaint was for 2pm afternoon and then again today at 3pm.

What were we doing? My wife played with her dogs for 15minutes yesterday. Today we vacuumed, did laundry, clean the shelves, clean tub (clean day).

We don't know what to do. We've lived here for 7 months already. Are we not allowed to clean our apartment jn the middle of the day? Are we supposed to walk on tip toes 24/7. Ill make sure to carry my dog from the couch to the floor.

Her complainta are ridiculous too because there isn't even a "constant noise" or whatever. "The ceiling banged once, so now I'm mad."

She even sent our landlord a video of the "noise". I don't hear anything. There was sorta a bang once in her 1 minute clip.

We don't even know what that bang was. Dogs slept all day. We didn't hammer anything or do anything bizarrely loud. No guests, no children, no parties. No yoga and no line dancing going on.

AND IM SORRY ITS 3 IN THE AFTERNOON. Honestly, if those things were indeed going on.... "tough nuts". Sure if it was going on for like a long time...an hour even, daily, okay, that could be annoying.

The message sent to us was that even though quiet time is from 7pm to 9am, we should be respectful of noise all the time. I mean, okay sure. But on the flip side, this woman lives on a middle floor in an apartment complex and expects complete peace and quiet 24/7? Which she does, because lol we don't do anything.

We're fighting back. The last email we sentwas asking what time we're allowed to clean our apartment?

Maybe I'll send an email every time we aren't being completely silent. "Hey just letting you know at 130pm, I dropped something on the floor, send the tenant our apologies". Or "just putting in a request for us doing laundry at 415 today, we could also do 430"

    Fuck this person

Yeah honestly sounds like they're being a baby, just ignore it especially since it doesn't sound like you're doing anything out of the ordinary. I doubt they can really do anything about it either. I hear people sometimes, it's what you should expect living in an apartment complex.

This isn't our first rodeo either. We've been lower floor. Of course there was banging once in a blue moon or steps or whatever.

Especially at 4 in the afternoon.

I feel that. I've gotten narc'd on just for leaving a light on for more than ten minutes or "slamming" a door when I never did. It's crazy how quiet or loud some tenets prefer. Like I get if there's a consistent racket or something genuinely sus is happening but trying to evict someone over what you're describing seems so damn petty and unreasonable lmao

    Beyond frustrating!

Cause if she hears these nuisance noises all the time, then there's clearly some shotty walls or something because we don't do anything. Or the laundry machine makes a noise.

    Or

She heard some banging for a short period and then it stopped. So... so what? Theres a little dog next door that barks "sometimes", but its not forever and it stops and we all move on.

    Haha ugh

This is the video she sent our landlord. I hear a bang or two in the beginning ...and then another at the end. Honestly don't have the faintest to what that could be. There's a little dog barking (not ours). Surprised that doesn't bother her more

I dunno man, maybe they have X-men hearing abilities - I've often slept through noise like that no problem haha. I don't have the full context, but from how you describe it, seems like a stressful situation, the issue mostly being w/ the intolerant neighbors. Sorry you're going through that nonsense. My only advice is be sure to document as much as possible and build yourself a receipt collection - you already know they will.

My sister used to deal with stuff like that when my nephew was younger. They even called the cops. Like he's a kid, what do you expect? If it's during the day and isn't quiet hours, people need to exist and move around. And like sometimes people drop stuff and that's normal lol. I've lived in apartments for years and I feel like it comes with the territory? You just learn to tune it out. My old neighbors would blast music and it was obnoxious af but they turned it off the minute quiet hours started so I never said anything.

you have to realize that it probably has far more to do with how unsatisfied they are with themselves or the things that they can't control in their own lives than it does with you at all. these people are most likely just trying to exercise some form of control because they probably lack control of so much that happens to them. I'm sure they annoy the shit out of the people they incessantly complain to anyway, thus making you look that much better by comparison
