to be honest, before the trailers, it seemed more like a cheeky reference to resurrecting the franchise. like I said earlier, I expected neo to be in this. i did not expect them to appear to be the focal point of the film.

 

I definitely am hoping there’s a lot they’re not showing us. From the little bits of story we did get it does give me soft remake of the first movie vibes, but I think Lana has more surprises in store.

 

That would be an awful movie.

 

Extremely excited for this, trailer was great and I need the next few months to hurry up

...and yeah, there was very little plot shown, probably for good reason. Super excited to see where this is going.

 

The next couple of months through December are just stacked with films

 

The trailer makes this look promising but, and this is probably just me being cynical, it just feels like a cash grab after three box office flops in a row.

 

Today is my first day off in two weeks. Picking up the blu-ray at the store if they have them after I get a haircut (or just streaming) and having a little marathon. Is the Animatrix good? The only thing I’ve never seen.

 

It’s worth it for the two shorts that explain how the war between man and machine started.

 

I thought it looked great, personally. Very excited for December now.

 

I don’t remember anything from the 2nd and 3rd film.

 

First two segments are a prequel that shows the fall of humans and rise of the machines and its GREAT. The other segments are fun enough, but it definitely peaks at the beginning

 

Just as nature intended.

 

Second is good. Third is ok. I’ll die on this hill.

 

Need to do a rewatch asap

 

They’re straight up watching The Matrix on a projector in one of the shots this is gonna go way meta.

 

I’ve probably said this before in this thread but for anyone who is down on the sequels, rewatching them after listening to Blank Check’s episodes about them really helped give me a new appreciation for them. I recommend listening and giving them another shot.

 

Anyways this looks interesting to say the least I’m dying to know more.

Same! I just can’t engage as much. But I think they’re saying just for these movies.

 

Yeah, for these movies specifically I’m assuming everyone in here has seen them at least once already, so listening and then rewatching with the new perspective would seem to make sense.

But if it’s a movie I’ve never seen before I watch it before listening to the ep for sure

 

I can’t help but think of John Wick every time I saw Neo in the trailer and it took me right out of it.

Also surprised there isn’t a green hue like in the past 3 films.
