That's the thing though... The whole film is full of those iconic "holy shit" moments that deserve to be on that list: Trinity running up the wall in the opening scene, Neo waking up and the camera panning to all the other pods, bullet time (obviously), dodge this, the entire lobby scene....

Any of those alone would make almost any other movie. To have them all in one film??

I mean.....I'll reserve full judgement for when I actually see it, but the trailer doesn't install me with confidence. Music choice was terrible

Wasn't the whole point of the original ending that the machines made an agreement to leave Zion alone and let humans who woke up leave freely? What is this supposed to even be about?

 

Also, kinda weird/dumb they wouldn't change Keanu's look at all from John Wick to this

It looks really interesting, I’m definitely looking forward to it. I also trust that Lana Wachowski wouldn’t have decided to make this movie all these years later unless she had a good reason to.

i’m very into the trailer but this is way more neo and trinity than i expected. i figured yahya and groff would be the leads with glorified cameos from the OGs.

 

Do we think Groff is an Agent

 

My ONLY reservation is that a lot of this trailer was focused on re-creating specific shots/scenes from the first movie. But even if this ends up just being a nostalgia trip, I’m sure it’ll be a fun time.

Or, the machines didn't lie, and the plot has an explanation for what is happening, that we'll learn when we watch the movie.

It's called "Resurrections", who did we think was being resurrected here, exactly, if not the characters that died in the last one lol

 

I came here immediately after viewing the trailer because of enthusiasm from how excited it made me and how I thought the song used worked perfectly, but I see that's not the dominant feeling here, so now I just feel awkward and like I should sneak out the back before anyone sees me.

 

Based on the Animatrix, it’s the humans who were the villains in the past that essentially caused the destruction of earth and turned the machines against us. The previous films made it pretty clear that not all of the programs inside of the Matrix agreed with the way things were being run and Neo was seen as a Messiah on both sides of that equation. It’d be interesting to see the humans team up with the machines to take down a rogue program that has taken over and broken the peace treaty.

 

There's something about Neo and Trinity that allowed them to be reincarnated within The Matrix somehow. That's all we really know at this point. It's going to be exciting to find out what's going on.

 

This looks fucking gorgeous, some of those shots are incredible. Music choice was great, action looks great, unsure why Neo and Trinity are back but Morpheus is now Yahya... this is probably my most anticipated of the year now

 

my thought from the trailer is perhaps an associate of the merovingian more than an agent
