i swear to fucking god. before the inning started i said "diaz is blowing this. the mets have been hot, the mets are about to go .500, and this is exactly the time diaz blows all the good will"

I'm not shocked by this at all. This is SO on brand for Diaz

Before the 9th inning started I almost came in here to say the same thing. Losing this game, in this way, is the most Mets thing ever. Especially since they should have had at least 5 runs already

 

Idk what nimmo was thinking diving bc even if you catch it you still gotta get up and set yourself just get behind it. Bad defense. Not diaz’s fault on that.

 

Yeah, as it was coming down I was just like "whatever you do don't dive". Should've just been a single. Fortunately Diaz decided to be good after that, but that could've easily been the game if Conforto wasn't there

4 games with 28 to go? Considering we've experienced blowing 7 games with 17 to go, this feels and is very very doable. And wild card remains an option too: with the Reds getting blown out, only 4 behind there as well

 

I’m watching my cousins high school football team and they have the same color scheme as the A’s and it looks so nice I just love that color scheme

 

7 more games in a row against Nats/Marlins. Need to win most of these cause the schedule gets tougher mid September
