Yeah still am curious about album plays. I'm most interested in the Sublime album play. I know we all think it's a foregone conclusion, but my gf is super stoked on that.

 

I can see how they bundle better with a schedule but I'm still sad about no album plays :(

 

Looks like Joyce Manor is also playing Bottom Lounge on Friday.

 

The only part of that news that interests me is the Joyce Manor album play. Is that enough to get me to go Thursday? Not sure, but it would be sick to see.

I wish they were playing during the actual festival.

 

Loving the update, but now I'm curious whether A.) Are we still getting Album Plays or did they kinda punt on that for this year and B.) Are any bands playing both the main fest and preview party like initially stated, or did the Morrissey curation replace that?

Super pumped for Patti Smith, missed her in 19 to post up for Ween and wasn't sure I'd get another chance.

Looking at the way the schedule might play out, a Sublime album play would be great! My one concern would be that conflicting with the Lawrence Arms or Circle Jerks. That's literally the one thing that would fuck me up on Friday, conflict-wise.

FWIW, I was listening to Rome on Lead Singer Syndrome yesterday and he didn't mention anything about playing the album in full. Of course, the host also didn't ask...

I don't think any of the bands are playing the festival. But who knows. They may add more. Makes me wonder who it was that was originally meant to play both...

Album plays are still probably in the mix. Fishbone accidentally posted theirs yesterday and I would put good money on MCS doing one too.

 

Right? I wish it wasn't the same night as MCS but oh well. I'll catch them on Thursday and be thrilled.

I'm lukewarm on The Flaming Lips, but on the plus side that's just one less conflict I have to worry about on an already stacked Sunday.

 

I'm brand new to Joyce Manor as a band, but this S/T is fun!
Interesting length though, clocking in under 19 minutes.
Would their set Thursday probably be 45ish?

Yeah they did the s/t a month or two ago in CA, and its only like 40% of their setlist haha

 

Yeah they'll just bust through the album and then the hits

 

Action/Adventure is a really good add. Patti Smith and Joyce Manor make Thursday worth it (although I've never heard the JM self-titled).
