This is one of my favorite aspects of the movie hahahaha. Cowboy Creighton, weirdo, possibly pedo who has no affiliation or connection to previous films, knows everything about the situation but does nothing except hangs around like he’s being built up for a solid showdown.

They finally encounter each other, and then big Jay just hugs him to death in 10 seconds.

I read earlier today that apparently there was a part in the script where we were supposed to find out that Jason killed his girlfriend or something and that's why he's so obsessed, but that really doesn't explain half of the shit about him.

Also, per the creators, apparently he survived the movie. They also say that the movie is not connected to any of the previous movies, or any of the movies after it, so I think they can just hallucinate whatever the fuck they want about it.

Ooooof, Slugs. Almost as bad as it gets. A lot of fun to be had if you can stomach it, but the misogyny is through the roof, and there seems to be little to no self awareness throughout this entire movie. A movie about HUMAN-EATING SLUGS.

The extremely clunky and awkward dialogue delivered totally haphazardly never stops being hilarious though.

  6. Goddamn, I pre-ordered through the kickstarter but that was a DVD copy. Is that blu-ray pre-order up? I don't see it on Terror Vision's site.

Yeah it's on the Vinegar Syndrome site. Just pre-ordered the limited edition slipcover.

Also thanks for recommending this a couple years ago. It's one of my favorite things and I try to get everyone I know to watch it, even though none of my friends give a shit. Now I can force them to with a physical copy.

I saw the other one that is similar (i think?) it's british and is a news segment that turns out to be real. I think it's called Ghostwatch?

  11. Ghostwatch rules. WNUF doesn't take itself quite so seriously. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

  13. Sorry for the triple post - now that it's September 1st, I want to do my best to get ahead in watching 31 horror movie this season, but it's been getting increasingly difficult to set aside time with how much I've been working. Anyone got a lead on favorite TV Halloween specials that are streaming? Treehouse of Horrors aside, because those are a given. My favorites may be the Stevil and Carlsbad episodes of Family Matters, I believe they were on Hulu as of last year.

Bob's Burgers has some good ones and it's a crime that it's not streaming but King of the Hill's Hilloween is a must.

  15. Is King of the Hill no longer on Hulu? Hilloween is the absolute GOAT

Yeah they yanked it a couple years ago. I have all the DVDs thankfully. Bob's is still on Hulu.

All the Family Matters Halloween episodes are great.

All the Home Improvement ones are fun.

Boy Meets World - And Then There Was Shawn s5e17 - I'm sure everyone is familiar, but it's their slasher episode with Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Halloween and Hush are great watches for the season.

    Bob's Burgers as someone mentioned.

I always Watch The X-Files episodes Home, The Postmodern Prometheus, and Bad Blood during October as well.

  18. Great recs! Love that Boy Meets World ep, and those X-Files picks.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Buffy The Vampire Slayer ('92) scared the hell out of me as a kid. I had the biggest crush on Kristy Swanson.

Also The Halloween Tree is a weird little animated special from the '90s that's worth watching.

Haven't seen this in probably 15+ years but I used to watch it every Halloween as a kid. Maybe I'll revisit it this year

This was the GOAT and I’m upset that Disney hasn’t put it on Disney+ so I don’t have to watch the awful quality rip on YouTube.

I have such vivid memories of having this on the tv while my brother and I sorted through our candy after trick or treating
