Wow, can't believe Jeff Cobb lost last night.

 

Kinda blew my mind.

 

Jerry O'Connel of all people is at Reseda tonight... or is Quinn Malroy from Earth Prime visiting our parallel universe?

I remember listening to a podcast and they were talking about a PWG show from a year or so ago and saw him walk up with his kids in arms and got turned away.

 

Lince Dorado just had his curtain call at a local Indy with Mr. 450 and Los Ben Dejos. He's going to kill it in the Cruiserweight division. And it's a shame that 450 was just an alternate in the CWC.

 

Isn't Mr. 450 the Florida indie dude with the DBZ Saiyan gimmick?

 

People with Highspots Network subs: The indie show that had Cody Rhodes vs Kurt Angle as the main event just got added to the library. Jeff Hardy vs Jushin Liger and "Broken" Matt Hardy vs "Space Cat" Sami Callihan are on the card too.

 

I was looking for nostalgia tonight and found it in the form of Backlash '99. The Big Show/Mankind Boiler Room Brawl did it for me.

 

Yeah that's him.

 

Haha, I was standing right next to him answering all his questions about what was going on all night. Really cool guy.

 

@Oddpac87 Without spoilers tell me did the six man tag main event tonight live up to the hype? Alot of people on Twitter are calling it a potential 5 star.

I'm watching December to Dismember '06 tonight with a group of wrestling fans who go to the same bar as me. One of the group of us won a free private party and that's what they want to do with the space I guess haha

 

Makes me jealous of you guys who have people in your everyday life who are wrestling fans.

 

I live next to a barcade and wrestling has kind of seeded its way into geek culture. It most certainly changed my perspective of it.


A few of us will be at the next Beyond show in Somerville.

 

First two nights were extremely good, especially the main event for night 2, really wish I could had made it to night 3

 

There's a barcade walking distance from my house, but I haven't seen any wrestling shown there. Might just have to go more often, love the place.

 

ironically enough, i've been spending a lot of time with the '99 PPV's this weekend

 

random, "favorite memories" moment - during the build up to Cactus Jack vs Triple H at Royal Rumble 2000 when Mankind comes out on Smackdown, 3 days after Raw still in his shirt that's all bloody from the match on Raw (awesome in and of itself that Mankind hasn't changed clothes) and says that he has a replacement for Mankind and announces Cactus Jack. The smug look on Triple H's face to the shock and horror. The delivery by Foley... all of that brief moment was perfect, especially in the pre-match video.

at the time I was around 12-13 years old and had never heard of Cactus Jack so that opened my eyes to what Foley had already done in his career and what crazy shit wrestling was capable of.

 

Are you talking about when Mankind was conferencing with Dude Love about "someone even crazier than us" on the titantron and then Cactus comes out? If so, YES. That segment/match was a favorite of mine as a child

 

it might have been. Mankind was on the stage, walking to the ring with Trips in the ring and Mankind says, "I'm in no shape to wrestle on Sunday, but I consulted with someone who is" and then he pulls off his mask and rips off the white button up revealing the cactus Jack Wanted poster shirt.

that's one of my favorite matches even to this day. made me a huge, huge Triple H fan. and their following Hell in the Cell was awesome as well. two fantastic back to back matches between those two.

 

@Oddpac87 I'm so fucking jealous that you're going to see Ricochet vs Ospreay live at BOLA tonight.
