I think its all just too late. 21-9 to have even an outside chance of sneaking for 2nd wild card..plus after this stint with miami and Washington , its another tough stretch.

That losing shit was just too long. Thats why it was all so frustrating.

    RIP Supporter

Waking up to find the Braves lost and Ozzie fouled one off his knee and had to be carried off the field by the trainers makes me want to go back to bed.

I mean, it's now equally close to the Braves as to the 2nd wild card teams. The Braves are certainly playing over their heads considering they are playing without their best pitcher and one of the best players in baseball. Bryce could prove me wrong, but I'm not too worried about the Phillies either. The path is there as long as the Mets win and I'm not sure if it would even take winning 2/3 of their games (which is very doable, albeit not necessarily likely, over the course of a month anyway).

    Ya gotta believe?

Tell that to fans of the Orioles, Pirates, D-Backs, Rangers, Marlins, etc. The point is that they don't have to go on some kind of absurd streak. They merely have to be a good team (like they were supposed to be) for the next month and they have a decent chance

Not being too worried about the Phillies is gonna come back to bite you, mark my words

Not being too worried about losing Zack Wheeler already has, so I wouldn't be surprised, but I'm choosing to enjoy the four game winning streak before my heart is broken yet again

Theres no way anything less than 85 gets it done. Id be shocked if the Braves go worse than 15-16 to finish the season.

Theres playing over their heads and then there's just play .500 ball.

And that Mets schedule to finish the season is rough.

i'll never delete a post Supporter

the crazy win in G1 yesterday followed by the G2 win felt in a lot of ways like the Todd Frazier/Michael Conforto 9th inning comeback game against the Nationals from 2019. Just something you didn't really think this team was capable of for a lot of the season, and that 2019 game really kickstarted their chase for the wildcard and gave us a really exciting august.

it would be nice if this team could give us a september like that. and you know, actually find a way to make it into october.
