me every day this week: the phillies are the best team in baseball and will make it to the playoffs for sure

 

Baffling pitching management by Boone yesterday. Dude has absolutely no urgency during the regular season. And then too much in the playoffs. Division is gone.

Honestly this Yankee run the last month might be the worst thing for the somewhat short term of the franchise. If the Yankees missed the playoffs Boone might not have been brought back (very long shot Cashman would be let go). Now that they’re pretty much a lock to make it gives he a better shot of staying. The players seem to like him but like you said is really poor with bullpen management and at times seems like the game goes by him too fast.

 

disregarding the Astros series, at some point you have to succeed in the playoffs too though. who knows if this would be the final straw for him in that sense

 

is the NL pitching too elite or do the batters just suck lol

 

If he couldn't get fired in that couple months when they were literally the hardest team to watch in my thirty years of following them, I have no idea what it would take lol

totally forgot that today's first game is the resumption of the game that was on for like 6 minutes before it got rained out back in april lol

 

i think its dumb but i think it had to happen. i bet hes out there for game 2.

 

actually, now that i think about it, it might not have been a benching - baez wasnt on the team when this game started, and i believe they have to recreate the lineup as similarly as they can to what it was the day the game started almost 5 months ago lol, with the exception of course being starting pitching, or if players legitimately arent on the team anymore. who knows.
