Of course I do. And I’ve had that with more players than a Rays casual critic would probably think.

But I also understand that building a team that way time after time can lead to long years of watching a player age mercilessly.

Rays field a winning product and I can still watch (and have watched) people like Longo, Zobrist, Price be successful elsewhere while recognizing that who we get back from those trades (Longo trade excluded) end up ensuring depth and the long term success that puts us within striking distance year in and year out.

We would be a weaker team today if we kept Snell and didn’t get Mejia and Patino. Just one example.
