I have from my Mom and again when my grandpa died (split her share with my sisters)

 

I will probably get something pretty significant when my mom's dad dies but it will go to paying off my parents' house first and foremost

 

13 years ago I was grateful that my grandfather’s inheritance paid off my student loans

 

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. FB should have always been exclusive to college students

 

Not a penny. My parents are great but that have about as much money as I do at any given time. Maybe less.

 

Yep. Some money from my grandparents will be going to me when they pass. It would be going to my dad, but he’s been dead since I was a baby.

 

yeah that’s the situation with my wife and her parents. In fact my wife has been out earning her parents for a while now. By the way, they’re thrilled about that!

 

My parents are divorced, both are homeowners in their own right with fully paid mortgages, so at the very least I can expect to receive some equity from those when they pass.

My wife got some inheritance from the passing of her grandfather years ago which enabled us to put down a deposit for our own home.

Other than that, I don't think my parents have any savings or funds that would be passed down.

 

My wife will almost def get something from her parents but that’s gonna be at least 15-30 years from now. at least I hope.

her grandfather is probably gonna die sometime in the next 5 years, but I assume all of his assets are going to be split between his 5 children.

 

Biden covering for a less-than-perfectly-behaved dog would be my favorite thing he has ever done.

 

My company came out and said at this time they won't mandate a vaccine but the premiums for those unvaccinated will be higher next year than those who are. Maybe that will be incentive enough to have people get vaccinated, especially if they are single or their spouses healthcare is worse.

 

I love this, but also wonder if this will open doors to things down the line that are not so good. Ie charging obese people in the office higher premiums or something since they’re more likely to incur higher medical costs. I would hope not, but…capitalism gonna capitalism.

 

We have a program that if you don't smoke, get a yearly physical, and complete a number of "healthy" tasks/activities during the year you get 1000 off your premiums. And if your spouse is in your insurance you get another 1000 off if they do it. So some good incentive to do healthy activities. And the company pays less on their end if their workforce is more healthy overall.

Obviously give me universal healthcare but you gotta take whatever crumbs you can get.

My parents took me out of their will but will likely add me back in if I can maintain sobriety
