I now live ten minutes walking from Grimm but been hitting 18th Ward Brewing more since they have live music all the time. Grimm definitely has better beer though.

 

Going to San Diego this weekend. Gonna hit up Ballast Point, and then Stone.

 

Pure Project was good when I was out there.

 

i'll be out there next weekend, almost was able to run into you because I'm probably going both those places too hah

 

Can’t recommend Pure Project enough. They’re known primarily for their hoppy stuff as well as kettle sours and pastry stouts. But their wild ales were great too! I went to the Balboa Park location, the pizza place they partner with was really good. Hope they’re still doing that.

 

They were when I was there in June. There is also 2 really great plant based (vegan) restaurants a block over.

 

Cohesion Brewing Company

New Czech lager brewery opened about a 15 minute walk from my house. Solid beers and good to see another place focused on perfecting one style in Denver

 

Finally made it back to Imprint. Glad they opened a bigger space. Not super crowded, solid list. A great 450 collab and a Mortalis stout!

Great day at Ballast Point. Work gave us 50% off the bill. Had the 25th anniversary flight, and an Aloha Sculpin. Going to Stone tonight. Not too familiar with their beers. Any recs??

 

Shame the Chi Ballast Point location went belly up because of the pandemic. They had some unique stuff and one of the stankiest rooftops (if you could get a spot).

Had the two newest Keeping Together releases over the past weekend and Averie just absolutely does not miss. Everything is incredible and I really hope she stays in Chicago after her agreement with Half Acre is up.

 

doubt theyll have it due to it being a winter seasonal but xocoveza by stone is my favorite beer of all time

 

Looks like Schilling and Oxbow are collaborating on a smoked bock, can’t wait to try it

 

Way too hot for fall beers but the first two looked too good to pass up. The rice lager was fantastic as well.

 

That pumpkin pie looks/sounds amazing!

my fave local brewery does the coolest shit

 

Urbanrest is one of the three best breweries in the state of Michigan. Hazy/Barrel Aged/old world lagers, they can do it all. And Zach and Mary are two of the best business owners I've met. Stoked that their second location is open now.
