    I'm surprised it's 2017 at all.

I don't want spoiled so I'm only going to read replies to me. My little boy and me have been watching this, he loves it, it's his very first 'grown up' show. We've watched 7 episodes, one more to go. Please tell me there's some resolution to it. He's so into it, he's only 7 and for his sake, I really don't want this to be a cliffhanger or no ending at all.

There is resolution, BUT, there are a couple pretty large cliffhangers.

Its a satisfying ending but they don't answer a lot of questions and leave certain parts open ended. He'll love it.

I usually hate finales but this was probably one of the best I'd ever seen.

Unrelated theory I keep thinking about that may be too obvious but I never see it brought up

So the slugs will eventually grow into Demogorgon's, right? The pattern seems to be slugs are implanted in people cocoon's, they eat those weird eggs to get bigger, become full size monsters, then build nests of bodies and lay more eggs. If the 11/Monster connection theory is right maybe each egg thing represents a person on the other side, but they have to have some interaction with the upside down for it to manifest? That part still seems confusing and like a stretch to me, but those slugs have to be baby demogorgons for sure.

Wife and I essentially binged all 8 episodes back to back. It was enjoyable and engrossing but I didn't feel blown away by it as most people seem to be though. That said I'll definitely check out S2 when it drops next year.

    Also Dustin is so awesome!

I watched the entire season in one day yesterday. This show is very good, endearing characters and satisfying storylines. I hope Eleven returns for season two, I've heard on several websites she may not be coming back

What a random and entirely accurate comparison. Zelda + Stranger Things for the win.

What the ending made me wonder is if they made a deal with the government to never speak of what happened, how the Hell are they explaining the buried son rising from the dead?

Super late to the party on this show, but finished it last weekend. Loved all of the '80s nostalgia going on. I was actually really satisfied with the ending and don't feel like a second season is necessary. Can someone please tell me why I am wrong?

I sorta agree. I think it ended well. We'lol havevto see where they take S2.

I think a second season could be interesting executed properly. I guess I just need to trust that they probably have the story mapped out longer than the first season and that the next iteration will work well.

Edit: this article was pretty good and sort of lays out where things could be going.

Well, they left it at a bit of a cliffhanger with Will coughing up the slug in the sink, and Hopper leaving out waffles for the seemingly dead Eleven. I feel like they have a lot to go off of with that first point, but I can also see how those little cliffhangers could be a good ending for some, like many of the endings to Goosebumps.
