except maybe The World We Live In, that song has like zero personality compared to most Killers tracks. Really strange choice of single imo (Here With Me is also a snooze)

Also, re the P4k discussion (and the ones that have taken place in other threads where people are unhappy with the score/elements of the review), it's silly to dismiss the site as a whole. The Boldy James writeup today is very well done.

 

This is kind of irrelevant to how I feel personally. The songs just work better for me with the intros.

 

Not really ready to add anything off the last 2 albums to a top 10 list yet.

I would never listen to the version with interviews more than once. SUPER happy they released the abridged version.

 

The abridged version is super convenient for adding some of these songs to Spotify playlists where the interviews would just seem completely random out of context.

Lol, I really don’t care if people want to listen to the songs with the interviews. I think it’s weird to act like people who don’t are missing a huge part of the experience when those snippets were tacked on at the last minute. If you think it adds something vital, great! I do not.

I view it similarly to when artists do “visual albums.” Those kinds of projects mean nothing to me, but if they add something for you, by all means enjoy them!

 

About to listen to the version with interviews for the first time. Hoping it helps things click for me a bit more, because this currently feels like a highly competent album of covers of songs I hadn't heard before.

 

what a weird thing to get mad about. if the band okay’d a version without the interviews even they don’t think it’s that big of a deal for people not to hear them.

I’ve been listening to the version with interviews and it doesn’t bother me except for In the Car Outside because by that point I just REALLY want to hear that song because it’s so damn great
