Won't surprise me if that does happen just based on how the last season went

  3. Do I need to have seen previous seasons of Slasher to watch the new one? I know nothing about this series.

    Nope. It's an anthology series

  5. Perfect, thanks. I've been seeing buzz here and there about it, so I'm curious to check it out.

I know it's kind of a mixed bag, but I love Tourist Trap hard. Was my first JBB watch too.

Every season is worth watching at least once, imo. They get a bit creative here and there.

Loving it so far, could do without the telekinesis, seems like a hat on a hat.

Feels like this is ripe for a remake, although House of Wax is very similar.

  10. This weekend, I've got The Stuff and From Beyond on the docket.

The Stuff is so fun, I just discovered it last year and it became an instant favorite. They should've made a series of films with Mo Rutherford getting into hijinks.

Don't Breathe 2 goes full T2, turning a monster into some kind of hero

“Yes, the deranged old man from Don’t Breathe is now a #girldad, struggling with his daughter’s practically Disney-ready dreams: She wants to be where the people are, even if that just means spending more time with the kids from the local group home she sees around town. Norman would rather her stay safe and close, and for a time the sequel appears to be setting up a simple reversal of the original with laughable obviousness, complete with clunky TV news stories providing sensationalized exposition. This time, the interlopers won’t be sympathetic bumblers motivated by desperation but a bunch of flat-out creeps led by Raylan (Brendan Sexton III), trying to pull a Taken on a deadlier senior citizen than Liam Neeson.”

This was my worst fear about this film

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Don't Breathe 2 sounds so, so bad lmao. don't know if I'll bother

Always been curious about that one based on the cover, what's it comparable to?

I’m hoping for good things from a new Slasher season. I think I’m one of few who loved the first season but did not like 2/3.

    S3 was especially bad.

  21. Man. Deep Blue Sea is truly an insane movie lmao. I remember enjoying The Meg and it feels like you can draw a thick black line between the two, not just because of the shark element but because of how each are essentially over-the-top B-movies with blockbuster budgets and wild casting

DBS always held a warm spot in my heart as a bad horror movie I loved as a teen. Chef LL Cool J being the hero we didn’t expect is my favorite aspect.

Also used to imagine Samuel L Jackson saying “I’ve had it with these mother******* sharks in these mother******* tanks” before he gets it.

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Chef LL Cool J's parrot might have been the coolest. But yeah the casting for this was outstanding.

I think the reason I enjoyed it so much as a kid too is the gore.

It's tough to compare it...maybe like The Goonies mixed with Poltergeist with a dash of Army of Darkness? It's really fun though.
