I too am a Love-Me-cutter, but Ugh? Only other song I cut from my usual album run-through is She Lays Down.

Love Me and UGH are both so great. Can't imagine how someone could just cut them.

No idea how anyone can delete UGH. How can you enjoy The 1975 but not like that song?

If you cut a single song from this album then fuck you.

I think this one is a big step up in every way, especially lyrically but I still think you'll find a lot to like on that album. Check out the EP's too, I think they're better than the debut and closer to this.

I think the debut does certain things this album doesn't too which is cool. It doesn't just feel like a worse version of this album.

exactly, the two projects are very distinct with the common thread of their general 'style' making it clear its the same band. they use some of the same tools but also a lot of different sounds and vibes on each.

cutting songs from records is whack in general

I was lukewarm on Love Me for a while but I really love it now. When I first heard UGH!, I didn't believe anything else on the album could possibly top it for me, tho I was proven wrong once it dropped. My least favorite is probably the title track, if I had to choose, but even then I still really enjoy it. I seriously can't think of another album of this length that is this consistent and captivating throughout for me.

its the same thing only outright removing it eliminates any possibility that it will one day click with you, which makes it a pretty bad thing to do imo

I just think it's whack to alter an artists body of work from the way they intended it

I wouldn't cut either of those two songs, but I'm not at all opposed to cutting songs in general. If doing so can make me enjoy an album more, then I really don't care about the artist's original intent.

if you cut a song from an album then it's no longer the album, why can't you just accept that one song isn't to your liking rather than change the content? I feel like that's a little disrespectful to the artist.. and whether you like it or not it is part of the album and they put it there to serve a function.

do you go in and cut scenes you don't like from movies or cut out pages of books?

songs on the album have a SACRED BOND
