I’m not sure if this has been mentioned yet or not, but today I learned that HBO Max is on LG TVs now!!! Fucking fiiiiinally

 

Control Z on Netflix is so trashy and dramatic.

Season 2 was awesome.

 

If you have Apple TV, Schmigadoon is pretty good, and after 2 episodes, Mr. Corman looks promising.

 

I can’t take JGL seriously anymore.

Really liked season 2 of The Wire a lot. I’m 3 episodes into season 3 and this is the least engaged I’ve felt yet. Can’t tell if I’m just uninterested in what’s going on or if I’m burning myself out, but I might take a break for a week or so

 

Good idea taking a break. It’s not really a good binging show IMO. For what its worth, I do think s3 is great and s4 is the show at its best.

 

Yeah the wire is best watching at most 1 episode a night.

 

i’m halfway through the second season of the sopranos, does the one episode per day rule apply there (i’ve been anywhere from two a day to one every other day)

 

I’d say Sopranos is more bingeable than The Wire but it’s still so dense and SO MUCH detail goes into each individual episode. I think the best way to watch it is one or two per day but when I first watched it I definitely did more than that bc i was so invested.

 

Probably applies to any “prestige” television tbh

I think I’ve averaged just under two a day of The Wire. It’s tough to do less when I love these characters so much, haha. Entering the next big wave of the pandemic isn’t helping either

 

Yeah when we watched the sopranos for the first time last March we were doing 2-3 a day. It’s just too good. Any “good” show is worth just doing 1 a day at most though.

 

I've just started season 5 of Dexter and it's uhh not great so far

 

Its just downhill from there really.

 

I’ve been watching Generation 56K on Netflix. It’s an Italian Netflix original. It really feels Italian and the scenery is great. I recommend it.

 

take your time with it because there is a lot to process in each episode and burning yourself out on a show like that would be a shame tbh. really happy you're enjoying it
